help with fast runs

hello sirs, im a bassist and i was wondering if any of you could share your practice habits on developing finger speed and which scales to start out with and which scales to eventually branch out into.. any info would be helpful.. thanks

try to look for a teacher,look for scales on the net and practice it really slow then building your speed up to a much faster pace
