hey guys, what are the brands that you wish our local music stores to sell? my friend has a pork pie drums and wuhan cymbals, it sounded really nice whan i was playing it. I hope that our local music stores start selling pork pie and wuhan.

pero ako gusto ko, keller shells, ayoko ng custom drums na gawa ng iba, masyadong pricey.. hehe

kaso pwede na rin kahit better availability lang ng:
1. sabian
- panget ng stock ng yupangco e. karamihan ng mga solid / dependable models wala sila. puro mga gimmicky stuff like o-zones and signature series
- yung onting okay na meron sila eh wala pa yung ideal sizes. for instance, walang 18" hhxplosion, 18" aaxplosion, 19" hhxtreme, etc.
2. remo / evans
- laging walang stock ng snareside heads (lalo na sa 13")
- wala pa ring coated CS / Power Center Reverse Dot

i got one arriving on march 12, pero 14" sya. Iniisip ko nga kung ibebenta ko or gagamitin ko na lang hehehehe....stock head ko kasi sana yun kung natuloy kami bumiyahe....

pareho pala tayo may sariling stock ng heads! hehe nung biglang may bagong stock ng Ambassador snareside na 13" sa JB, kumuha agad ako isa kahit di ko kailangan nung panahong yun. at least ngayon handa ako kung biglang may mapunit (2 pa man din yung 13" snares ko)

sa akin, little things lang that mean alot to my drumming like...assemblies for pearl elims(belt drive,chain & cams)...evans and remo heads with different sizes and  models...

sa medyo kamahalan...sana magakaroon ng ibang models naman ang Sabian...ang dami models nito, in fact mas madami sila sa lahat ng brands, pero paulit ulit nalang yung mga naka-display...sana may ice bells. hehehe

for me siguro, yung mga spare parts ng mga hardwares. like what bro. kibohead said, spare parts para sa pedals.

hmm, more variations of heads from Remo and Evans, mga cymbals din. yung mga custom drums, limited kasi market dito dahil sa price range nila. kaya siguro walang nagpapasok dito. sobrang mahal kasi. but i'm sure may bibili pa din.

i think that's the main reason kung bakit walang nag-a-attempt mag market dito ng mga US custom made kits. maybe they think that Pinas is not a good market, hmmp... but talent-wise, alam ko kaya nating mga Pinoy makipagsabayan...hehehe OT.

if you remember dati wala naman mga Mercedes Benz, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari delears dito, but now, kumpleto tayo. sana ganun din mangyari sa mga drum products.

^ Yes, kayang-kaya talaga nating mga Pinoy makipagsabayan in terms of talent.  But still, it's the business side of the drum manufacturing and retail industry.  The Pinoy consumer's spending power is not as strong as those from first-world countries.

In my humble opinion...  I think we have enough quality brands of drumming-related products imported here in our country.  We got Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, Meinl, Stagg...  We got Pearl, Gretsch, Tama, Premier, Mapex, Yamaha, PDP, DW, etc...  We got Gibraltar, Vic Firth, Pro-Mark, Remo, Evans, Gator, SKB, etc...   But the thing is, it's either the retailers do not ship in enough stocks for a growing population of Pinoy drummers.  Or they do not ship in the right stuff.  Kaya limited tuloy ang mga choices natin.

And, if only the distributors can figure out ways to ship in a wide selection of products, and be able to price them reasonably, especially for the average Pinoy consumer.


Anyway, going back to topic...  I would love to see these brands available here in the Philippines:


Rhythm Tech, Roc N' Soc, Aquarian, Puresound, Danmar, Trick, Axis, HQ Percussion, Bosphorus, Istanbul, Spaun, Canopus, Factory Metal, Hammerax, Protection Racket, Beato, XL Cases,  instructional DVD videos from Hudson, Warner Bros., etc...


... 'lang hiya, ang dami.  Lahat ipasok na dito!!
