It's my Fender SFPR after Mang Raul worked his magic on it. Wanted to get clips testing it for clean (by backing off the gtr vol) and cranked tones.

The amp naturally compresses a lot (tube rectifier) but it seems the vidcam did a lot of compression/limiting by itself. It was ear-splitting inside the room with everything dimed!

Note: Sorry madilim; the best audio recorder I can get was the one on the vidcam. So I shot anyway kahit madilim.

ganda ng response nya with the volume. tamang tama for the music that you play. mas may control ka sa transition ng dynamics ng kanta since you don't need an OD pedal if it's as responsive as this! OK din with guitars with dedicated volume knobs para hinaan mo lang ng konti yung pickup mo for rhythm tapos full-on yung pang lead! sarap ng simple! Recta sa amp!!

Well, for tube amplifiers atleast. When cranked, the (power) valves reach a saturation point in which the effect is sonically perceived as compression.

i prefer the tokai. the tone saturates nicely when you hybird pick those notes. nice job.

Yes, having a tube rectifier in the amp's workflow enhances the compression even more. But all tube stages, the power amp especially, contribute as a whole to this.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I wanted to get inputs on a few things when I thought of posting this:

1. Is the amp too compressed? For some ears, maybe a bit -- especially pag naka crank. Pero like Kulas said, yung a la Twin Reverb na compressed clean tone ang habol ko. Yun nga lang, when the amp is cranked for solos, I'll lose some dynamics. Maririnig nyo tuloy that I don't really lose a lot of volume when I turn down the gtrs vol; it just gets cleaner.

2. I love the treble and mids -- tamang tama na. Pero hindi tight ung bass - at naging mas pronounced ito after the RQ mod kasi lumakas ung capacity ng output to overdrive and engage the tube rectifier even more. In fairness, ganun talaga small Fenders pag cranked, lalo nang 6V6 amps like PRs and DRs. I'm sure I'll miss it for some songs/styles but you win some, you lose some.

One thing's for sure... this my friends, is true tubular tone at work. I hope it was enlightening for you as it was for me.

too compressed? hindi naman, tama lang. it's good actually, transparent naman eh, natural naman yung pagka-compress nya. so basically it's a good kind of compression, hehe.

yup i also noticed the volume, galing nga eh, natutuwa ako, hahaha. lumilinis lang yung tone. i'd expect sumasabog na yung mic input ng camera mo pag naka-todo yung volume, but hindi pa rin, i'm impressed!

grabe, ganda ng amp na yan, hehe.

...... that is also one of the tones I like ..... Meteors are too much for me....the Allen amps diy kits though are affordable.... I might get one.

UPDATE: Dinagdagan ko ng clearer and cleaner sounding videos. I set the amp volume on 5 to 6. Check em out.
