Flickering in LCD Monitor

my monitor is a Samsung 17" LCD Monitor, modelled SyncMaster 740N.

some of you guys might have the same monitor; do you ever encounter flickering lines? ...like horizontal, transparent and flickering static lines all over the upper screen.

it's not really a problem, it's just plain annoying, and i'm not sure if it's normal or if i should find my receipt and ask for a replacement (since its a recent buy, around a month or so)

hmmm.. try to use another monitor.

if it follows that, its the video card.
-reseat video card
-update driver
-check video cable for any broken/bent pins


if it doesnt, then its the samsung monitor.. 
-replace

it's DEFINITELY not the video card.

it comes and goes, the flickering. but i mostly encounter it on evenings.

madali lang yan! ikabit mo sa ibang PC yung LCD mo, pag ganon parin sureball sira LCD mo.

ganun problema nung philips ko na lcd monitor at naging black and white na lang. i tried connecting it on other video cards, ganun pa rin, then i tried a new vga cable umayos. nung binuksan ko yung both ends nung old cable dun ko napansin putol isang yung conductor, check mo rin yung pins baka may loose or naputol din dun. nangyayari kasi sa cables yun kung madalas siyang and plug and unplug.

wala pa yata akong nakikitang ganyang problema...

tanong lang, anong application gamit mo? o baka pag naglalaro ka lumalabas yan?

dehins eh, kahit anong application. pero it comes and goes nga, tulad ngayon eh wala yung flickering. haha labo

di kaya loose ang connection kaya nagloloko ang signal ng vid card at monitor mo? try mo reseat, bago pa yan pre...pag hindi tlaga ok, papalitan mo...

di kaya AC line noise, baka may nagwe-welding dyan sa tabi nyo o kaya may nag-C-CB radio. Minsan yang celphone nakaka-interference din. Yun ngang mga video games like nintendo, may interference din yon kung minsan.. baka may kapitbahay kang mahilig mag-nintendo sa gabi

@Badong - pre, alam ko na sinasabi mo...minor flickering lang ba? yung parang kung di mo titignan maigi eh hindi naman talaga noticeable?

kasi sa tatlong pc na pinuwestuhan ko dito sa office buhat kanina, 2 sa kanila eh napansin kong may flickering chuva nga...

oo nga. tapon mo na yan...sa bahay ko to be exact. tapos bili ka nalang ng bagong monitor. hehehe
