I had an old pair of Sony monitor headphones (MDR-V600 ata) which also developed a buzz after accidentally being left at high volumes while I wasn't using it. Since it was way past warranty, I decided to attempt a repair. I found out that these headphones cannot be repaired due to the nature of their construction and materials. Even the diaphragms use a clear plastic unlike standard speaker cones.

You can try using Behringer headphones for a while. Some have mentioned that they sound good although they feel a bit too light. FYI, one particularly recommended headphone for monitoring is the Audio Technica ATH40fs although it is in the 5k range. Another one I'm using frequently now is the AKG K240s which sounds excellent.

i just got a behringer last wednesday, HPM1000
sa raon ko nakuha. 1500 daw dapat (or 1300) hindi ko maalala eh

since buena mano daw ako, binigay ng 1100

If you can, try to use the Sony MDR-7506 or -7509, those don't suck. My old Sonys were the MDR V600 - loved those because they folded into a real small package.
