Bakit hindi sumikat ang Peavey Radial Pro drums?

These designs were a step ahead the conventional drum manufacturing process.  Why oh why didn't they become famous?

When it came out, I guess most drummers weren't ready yet for a radical new design in drumshell construction.  I think the design idea is noteworthy.  But it made the drums too heavy.  I once encountered a Peavey Radial Pro snare drum, and it was the heaviest and fattest (literally) snare drum I've ever seen and held.

Personally, I feel that Peavey wasn't able to do enough to market these drums.  The high-end drum market is quite competitive.

Here's a nice link about these drums --- http://peaveydrums.moonfruit.com/#/history/4519786597 .  I should try to research more about these.

I've come across a Peavey Radial pro snare drum too... It belongs to Big Third. (Feet Like Fins, Orient Pearl) I wonder if he still has that snare... hmmm

drumster's right... it's big, heavy, and fat...

I remember Radyo Bar in Marikina had a Peavey Radial set... But that was way back in 1994...
