I think this rumour started when Page bought the house of a well-known devil worshiper whose name I forget at the moment.  I dunno, Page at his prime looked more like a schoolboy when stacked against his peers, and in the docu "It Might Get Loud", Page looks just like the typical country gentleman/lolo who plays a mean Les Paul (bagsak yung panga ni Jack White at ni Edge when he unassumingly picked up a guitar off the floor and played the intro to "Whole Lotta Love").  But then again, silent waters run deep.

pero kahit ganun,i keep on playing zep songs anyway kahit sa kwarto ko lang..
favorite ko ang ten years gone( the band claims it to be their finest work);since i've been loving you(what else can i say?);
kashmir(sonically authoritative!);rain song(all about substance);i'm gonna crawl(passionately in love);...the list goes on...and on...

P.S. if you think these songs aren't good enough for a guitar genius, listen to the live version of "whole lotta love" on their bbc session cd2....grabe!my brains splattered-out through my ears after listening to it..

ako taga-Tanauan, konti lang talaga mga mahilig sa LedZep, 2ndyear highschool ako nun sa La Consolascion, walang nakaka-relate saken, puro LinkinPark kac alam nila, tapos sa De La Salle-Lipa, palage ko sinusuot yung shirt ko na LedZep, wala din nakaka-relate, ang trip kac nila ay Emo, Spongecola, cyclemind, Cueshe...

Mahirap kopyahin style ni Jimmy Page, Si Teddy Diaz lang ang nakita ko na gumawa nung style ni Pagey na violin bow solo.. kung kaya mo naman tugtugin "since i've been loving you" at ibang ledzep songs, nde mu din matutugtog, dahil sabi nga ni Scott Henderson, walng nakakakanta na kasing taas ng boses ni Robert Plant, kaya mapapansin mo sa guitarista, pag sinabing 80's, puro blackmore ang pondo nila...

Yung "Kashmir" parang Mr. Clay ng Bamboo... yung blackdog naman, soundtrack sa movie ni Andrew E. "Alabang Girls", nakakapang-init ng ulo, yung "stairway to heven intro" palagi kong naririnig sa mga battle sa pistahan, okay na yung intro sabay banat ng "anak" ni freddie aguilar, nakakaasar...

ang favorite ko talaga na LedZep song " since I've been loving you" at "No Quarter", ang ganda ng solo pag live, idol na idol ko si Jimmy Page, gusto ko mga licks nya at chords, kaya lang, kahit sinong tao na gustong kopyahin ang style nya ay madi-disappoint lang... iba kac style nya... "just follow your instinct lang" wala talaga patterns, at pag tumutugtog cla sa concerts, parang nagpa-praktis lang, kung anu-anu kanta ang pinapasok...

Nadiscover ko lang music nila dahil sa tatay ko, bumili ng VCD, napanood ko, yun na!!! tapos sabi sken ng tatay ko, napanood na pala nya yung concert na yun  nung colleg pa cya kasama pinsan nya... sa SINEHAN... hahaha!!!

GF bought me a copy since yun lang ang pinapanood ko sa bahay nila (copya ng utol niya).  Have seen the docu many times and still find it fresh.  Page still has the chops (not that he lost them), and he seems to relish the role of the mellow, elder statesman expected of the great axemen of his era (Clapton, Beck, etc.) Actually saw the premier here in Toronto.  Page looks dapper in his black coat with long tails and thinning white hair.  Nothing strange there since Page (to me) seemed to be the most sartorially-conscious among the Led Zep lads.  But then again, hindi kaya proof-positive yun of the rumor that he really was into the black arts?
