Mga bro ok din ba Fernandes Strar copy?I just both one.the revival strat.
sabi nila rare na daw sya.I saw it on the net that billie joe armstrong uses Fernandes Strat which he calls "blue".Sabi nila it may even be better that the fender am strat.I've been comparing it to my friend's fender am strat, the feel and sound is just like equal.

lol, can the revival strat stay in tune after some nasty tremolo work? sorry man but I don't think revivals are ALWAYS better than American Deluxe strats. The deluxe neck heel also makes it easier to play up to the 22nd fret, which obviously vintage copies do not possess. Mine has a V neck profile and a flatter radius, heavenly feel on the neck with low action. If it's the sound, well I had mine with David Gilmour EMG's ever since, and I'm still convinced it sounds good.
The Am Dlx you A/B'd it with must have been a lemon, or you may have already been biased with your judgment before the test. I mean, how can you not love the tinted neck and abalone inlays and countless pickup wiring options with the S-1? :-)
I'm sure your Revival cannot sound as fat as the Am Dlx with S-1 switch on.

I was able to hold and play countless Fender Jap RI's, lawsuits etc. (including several Revivals) and for me they don't come close to my Am Dlx generally.

lol meng, sa tingin ko rin malaking factor kung paano mo tignan ang gitara eh hehe. I looked at it differently tapos naramdaman ko na ok na ko hehe.
I mean, personally it rocks for me. For others, they would say their strat is still better.
If it suits you and you think it's the best, then that's it.

Pero action, fit and finish, kahit sabihin pa nila na polido gumawa mga hapon, mas gusto ko pa rin yung detail sa Am Dlx. Sound, it varies a lot lalo na kung iba-iba pickups hehe.

Fraud is right. 'Di matched yung tuners sa body. AFAIK, Klusons pa rin dapat yan kung '65 and Pre-CBS. Nice headstock, though. I've never noticed 'dem big heads as sexy as yours. Debnebit. Tama si Jong (Bakit?) about big headstocks.  :-D

hehe tsaka dapat yung three bolt neck plate kung large headstock strat yun.

anyway, I disagree on the large headstock thing, to me an old regular sized headstock with spaghetti style logo is still da bomb for strats.
super '57 fan kasi talaga ako hehe.

parang meron yatang 4 bolt na large headstock.. can't remember where i read it :-)

well the logo with other markings on the headstock looks legit..malabo nga lang sa pic, pero i've seen raon strats with those complete markings

and another thing, gumagawa ba ng neck ang fender na hiwalay yung lower lip sa headstock? pati pala yung pup covers and other hardware, malabo yata ganyan pa kaputi para sa year kung late 60's nga yan :-D

I seriously doubt if that's a matching neck and body. can anyone clarify if they started making large headstock strats nung '65?

Yo fraud..fender started making those large headstcks nung circa 66 na...kaya transitional strat tawag sa mga 66 strats..lam q nung 2oo5 they made 66ri strat to commemrate the strat,so i doubt na legit ung hdstck nya.if he insist its a 65 strat..ang kapareho lang sa 65 and 66 strats are their decal lang..thats it..apir yeahhhh..

You can try Jon dela Cruz of Elegee. IMHO, isa sa pinaka magaling na luthiers sa atin. You can check his work in the Elegee thread at GC. Here are his numbers: 027166665/09178904677.

Come to think of it, wala pa kong fender strat na may big-ass headstock. Puro regular and spagetti. :-D parang order sa jollibee ito ah.

clarifications lang :-) yung sa pic nung may ari deffinetly hindi siya 65,66,67,68,,kasi sa decal nya basicay ang decal ng 65 and 66 are i dentical,,at hindi mukhang 70s decal na may bold STRATOCASTER , tapos yung string tree niya , he has two so hindi parin, 65-71 strats ay single string tree lang, during 1972 lang ng start na maglagay ng double string tree and fender, also 1971 naman ng start yung "bullet" truss rod..so sa pic, malayung 65 or 66, this could be a reissue model lang,,,yun yung mga napansin ko
