may sticker dapat ng custom shop sa likod at red and blue dots... If I remember correctly blue for the neck pup and red for the bridge pup...

ganun pala yun, this is from a japanese strat pala.. ganun rin ba ang pag tag nila as opposed to replacement texas specials?..  nung nakita ko kasi yung official receipt sa kaibigan ko just recently(the one who bought it on jp and shipped it here). yung model nya '86 ST62-TX, kaya napa email ako sa fender

quesotion lang po. how do you determine na texas specials ang nakalagay sa strats nyo?..

I recently emailed fender w/ pics of the guts of my guitar, asking them to tell me what kind of pickups is installed in one of my strats.. they magically said , it has texas specials, na surprise nga ako,

para maka sigurado lang.. anu sa tingin nyo

You are correct - with the exception of the Texas Specials (unless they have started to do this in the last couple of years).

Back years ago, when the Fender Custom Shop first started making the Texas Specials, we used to comment on how anyone could just basically slap any set of alnico pickups in a strat and sell it claiming that it has texas specials in it because there were no identifying engravings, stamps, stickers or anything on them.

Doc

My Texas Specials are at least 10 years old and already have those stickers and blue and red dots...

Hi, Doc. Really? So how can you guys from Fender tell the difference from a Custom Shop to a Non-CS pup back then?

Thanks.

Yes, neck plates on orig gits get rusty too. Unless thy are Adamantium.  :-D They usually have rust on the other side of the plate. The unseen side.

posted this in the "Fender Guitar Users Thread" but i think mas applicable dito dahil strat-related naman tanong ko...

QUESTION:

have an alder body w/ rosewood fretboard strat.
sounds naturally "dark" --- is there a way to brighten it up?

Don't worry. As long as it still plays great, you don't have to fret (pun intended).  :-D There's nothing like good 'ol WD40 to do the trick.  :-D Normal yun.

Try other pups. bro. CS Texas Specials are usually bright. My Fat 50's are bright. I want it a little warmer. I solved that  one by tweaking my GE-7. Well, it worked for me.

Here's my Japanese Fender Squier Floyd Rose, I currently installed a low pro floyd from an Ibanez PGM (I have to rebuild the the Floyd Rose II trem) and also installed is a SD Invader bridge pickup (I think I wanna trade this HB).
I have stated that there are more bad sounding suhrs then there are good ones.
