hey guys, been a long time lurker here. Anyway i have a dilemma. Im planning to buy another 7 string and happen to have this opportunity to buy any of the 2 at similar prices. one would be a rg3727fz bnew and the other one is a slightly used loaded early 2014 musicman jp7 in silver sparkle( the one that has ss frets already). been a long time ibanez user on 6's and my only 7 is a ancient rg7421 which is a tank. as for the 2 guitars, i tried it and sort of like feels similar naman sila interms of playability: low action, almost similar fret size, almost similar neck profile. satin/matte finish neck. though a jp have a piezo but i dont see myself using it alot so walang bearing to sa situation ko. also the jp has stainless frets na. which i love but also not bothered with using nickel frets since some of my guitars just use regular frets. all in all im torn and cannot decide. i love them both if only i can afford to buy them both i would.

so my question is, which will help me alot in deciding is, kung kayo given the situation detailed, which would you pick? baka kasi may nakikita kayong hindi ko nakikita sa situation ko. thanks in advance.

to stay on topic: here are the remaining ibanez 6's i have. bought and sold alot back then.

moded rg550. used to be black. had it repainted into a yamaha racer yellow. with custom order dimarzio paf neck, true velvet neck, and steves special bridge.

rg1570 with air norton and tone zone pickups.

if the price is the same id take the JP7 in a heartbeat seriously, on an investment standpoint it will hold most of its value, no offense to ibby guys

but then value is nothing if you're choosing a guitar as a workhorse, at the end of the day which ever youd bond with is the one you take to your room right? parang aquarium lang yan tingin pag nagustohan ipasok na sa kwarto

SV5470F - Upgraded pickups to DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniv Neck & Bridge + True Velvet Middle
Removed the Push-Pull function also - not a fan of that config.

guitars will only hold its value if you say it is (or more so in the philippines), but when you take it to retail store i.e guitar center it will not or any mom/pop store in the usa, what will usually make it worth while is the market for it.

so if you bought your EBMM or Suhr around 2K and bring it to GuitarCenter or SamAsh, they'll offer you half of that or best 1200$, yes there is a blue book for guitars but they usually follow 'buy for less, sell for more'

the only value i see potentially, would be trade value within forums, or try ebay and craigslist, i never look at guitars as an a monetary investment

How was it? :cute:

Did you route the trem cavity or the gotoh fits with the edge pro cavity?

I heard great stories about gotoh trems

Needed to add 5mm to the cavity to accommodate the intonation screws.
It's a very stable trem system, stays in tune quite well. :)

I am really in love with the finish. I really wanted to score a natural finish guitar for a long.
