New ibanez user here. Been playing for about 20 years.... Pero no band... And di na ko gumaling...but added another guitar... With the aproval of my wife. At first i just wanted a floyd rose bridge to add to my semi hollow electric guitar and standard strat... So went searching for an electric guitar with a floyde rose bridge. Since tight budget. Just got my self a gio 270 from audiophile..... Wala pang one month...then installed emg-x pickups.... Then replaced the switch and killed the line to line to the middle single coil pick up.... Altough i might install an active single coil emg....just need to figure out how to wire it considering i have a single tone and single volume. So far happy with my setup even if its an entry level guitar.  :) .... But hands down to your ibanez guitars.... Nice collections and nice guitars

I need help regarding to my new pickup installation

So i bought a new Ibanez RG421, the stock pickups are quite good for non tone purist, but as for me, i`m not satisfied. So I did a research for some pickups upgrade, and finally found that the Tesla have what i wanted, it was the Opus 1 Set.
After buying the pickup set, i was so excited to replace my pickups at home. I followed the diagram on my stock pickups wired(as seen on the photo), and i did the same as putting the Tesla set. Note: my guitar has 5 way lever switch, and it has a coil splitting in the 2nd and 4th position if i wasn`t wrong.

After the installation of my new Tesla set, the 4th position is totally OFF(dead), but the rest are working fine. I didn`t know where did i go wrong.

Pickup gurus, please help.

Nabanggit ko na to dito dati, ngayon nakuha ko na siya, Ibanez roadstar II with 3 single coil pups, needs refretting, tsaka rewiring siguro (walang string so di ko alam kung ok yung electronics), nakuha ko siya sa isang trade, i traded a 4k worth mic bass guitar for it. sulit na ba?

@dirtybluesplayer  - Did you one by one switch the wiring to the other pickup set. Or you took a picture of the old one, remove everything then followed your picture?

Both method arent actually best practice.
Best thing to do is follow a pickup wiring diagram. It is available all over the net..
Also, color coding may differ depending on the brand. <- this may be your main issue.

@spoonbender
Rich replies fast. But he's not the most friendly guy you will meet. Masyadong dry mga reply niya. But his replies are the ones you only need to know anyways.
Remember to always ask for stocks and current price. Ung listahan niya ay updated lang only twice a year as per Rich.. So far wala ako problema sa kanya

Comparing the wire colors of tesla and seymour duncan, you can use the Seymour Duncan diagrams, but swap the red and black wires.
