I guess the single coil EMG's are much better than the humbuckers, pero I suggest you guys try out the EMG 89 w/coil tap tapos samahan niyo pa ng EXG, SPC or afterburner, champion! :-D

yung panalo sa EMG, maximum sustain and output kasi pwede mo ilapit ng todo sa strings yung pickup w/out compromising string vibration, and the fact that they contribute to reducing noise. Tone-wise, I thought the SA's were excellent, much better than any other passive single coil I have tried (easily smokes those HS pickups by DmZ), yung 85 and 81, well they sound sterile to me, pero yung 89 sobrang ganda. it all boils down to personal preference though. para sa akin, EMG's are great sounding. Yung H4's etc. pangit talaga, better get an SD JB/Jazz or a pair of PAF Pro's. :-)

@cayle
yup, '90 JS1BK, kailangan lang ng set-up pero it sounds fantastic! and the neck reminds of a 62 Stratocaster, totally not like the one on my friends RGT42, ang ganda ng feel, may skunk stripe pa hehe. :-D

Mga sir, anu pong model ng RG yung parang strat ang itsura? Naka floyd rose siya, HSH setting, and naka Chrome pickguard siya.

Another thing, uhm I need suggestions kasi, what particular model would you suggest if I want a guitar with a fixed bridge and good pickups, HSH setting if possible, nalilito na kasi ako sa dami ng RG models.

Thanks

RG350DX comes to mind, kung may chrome pickguard. Check the Ibanez RG321MH, kung makahanap ka, tapos pa route mo nalang sa luthier ng middle pickup. Or you can go for SA series, and just block the trem.

Stretch your budget and get the RG1451 for a fixed bridged guitar with HSH pickups.  :wink:

Dude, I hope you won't mind me correcting you. Floyd Rose is a brand name for a double locking trem. The one on that ibby is called an Edge 3. Floating trem, double locking trem system or simply a locking trem should do it.  :-)

Ah yeah, I stand corrected, EDGE III floating trem pala yan...

Still, I don't want it, anything with locking nuts, locking trems etc...too much labor when restringing since I only use d addario strings, not elixirs.

Alright! Apir!  :-D

I can intonate a guitar all day, wag mo lang papagalaw yun truss rod. Takot ako.  :-D

I don't worry much about my guitar's intonation since di naman ako papalit palit ng gauge ng string, I only stick with 9's.

OT: Dude, astig nung demo na ginawa mo para dun sa shredhead ni markv, binookmark ko nga eh, anyway gusto ko siya pag-aralan for trip trip lang, may tabs and record of the backing track ka? Tinatamad akong kumapa eh.. PM mo nalang ako, haha.  :-D
