Never tried anything like WD40,  baka masyado corrosive. Madali lang talaga matangal yung coating sa mga Edge Pro,

Try mo to, 99 lang sa puregold.
Non-abrasive, non-corrosive.

Since I can't source Ibanez SureGrips (bottom) for my other trem arms, i decided to create my own.
Bought a shrink tube from the local electronics store for 38/meter and fitted 2 layers on the trem arms.
Works perfectly.

Nice hack!

Got this earlier during the day!

1990 MIJ Ibanez Radius 440R
- DiMarzio Mo' Joe and PAF Joe
- Original Edge Tremolo
- 'Ultra' neck profile

Lastly... poor man's Ibanez JEM and JS of sorts.  :)

1987 Ibanez RG550
- Stainless Steel Jumbo Frets
- DiMarzio Breed and PAF Pro (bridge and neck respectively)

If you're looking for any kind of fret job, set up, or wiring services. Mico Ong of PAPI's guitar is your man! I've had 7 guitars refretted by him to SS frets.
Impeccable job and absolutely worth every penny.

Dun sa socket ng trem arm, may 2 opposite na slots.
Pwede mo yun pihitin ng flat head screwdriver para sumikip yung trem arm.

I'm planning to replace my RG1570's edge pro to a Gotoh GE1996T,

what are the things i need to consider before replacing it?

and the gotoh bridge has 3 choices of trem block 33mm 36mm and 40mm

which one should i get?

bakit mo sir papalitan to gotoh? in my opinion the edge pro is a good trem. havent encountered any stability issues even without the stud lock post. having tried both the gotoh before, the gotoh isnt necessarily superior to the edge pro. infact i prefer the edge pro over to 1996.
but if sanay ka sa og edge, i would understand since almost same profile size wise sila ng gotoh and this was the reason i did the swap before because the knife edge of my edge worn down(after 10+ yrs) and wanted to try the gotoh.

im not sure if it's a major prob or a minor prob,

kung umuuga sir try mo higpitan yung nut ng trem holder as shown.

counter force mo sa kabila ng flathead screw kung umiikot yung trem holder as shown

kung yung washer naman ang maluwag, diy kalang imbis na bumili ka ng washer ng trem. cut kalang ng exact height ng plastic screw anchor as shown.

cut a piece

hope that helps. lastly if corrosion ang issue, wala na tayong magagawa dyan palitan na talaga. hehe.

1. You will need to extend the cavity by 5mm to give way to the string lock screw
2. You need to pull out the post inserts and replace them with the ones that came with the Gotoh
3. Get the 33mm or the 36mm - got mine with the 40mm block and naglagay ako ng washer sa backplate to accommodate the length of the block.

Any S series IMO  :-D for that curvy look, it can be applied and used with any genres.

This! For me mas tamed looking ang S kaysa sa RG and RGA na matulis masyado plus kung ang makukuha mo pang model is shark tooth yung inlay. You can also consider SA and FR series.  :)
Yeah man! I'm gonna put on some 2" steel cables so I can tune to drop Z- flat, 17 octaves down. You won't recognize a single note, it'll be awesome duuuude!!!
