I agree! Been using digital for most of my guitar playing life and now I'm using an analog dist pedal, iba ang kagat, ang quality, etc.

Im using digital for my mods, but when it comes to your dirt, IMHO, it should be analog sounding.

Puhunan nating mga gitarista ang drive natin. Two cents.

Quite contradictory when I just bought a pod xt live. Haha. pero di naman better tone ang reason kung bakit ko binili un. smaller rig lang muna. malaki talaga ang difference when I use my analog setup in chain with my pod.

Just got my Hardwire CM-2 Tube Overdrive pedal yesterday. Nag iisa lang na stock sa MOA Audiophile. I was testing at AP and trying to get a transparent clean boost from it. At first I thought, di nya kayang mag clean boost coz I already hearing a break up sa amplifier with  a 0 GAIN setting sa CM-2. Then I changed guitar with  single coils. Ayun, OK. Pero nahirapan ako hanapin ung setting para maging kasing tunog sya when in bypass mode. Naalala ko ung nabasa ko sa forum dito na i -full ung LOW and HIGH setting then back off ung LEVEL and 0 GAIN. Tried ko sa home with a strat with LINE 6 Spider III amp in a clean preset, it really works. If you want more volume just increase the LEVEL. By the way, I also tried if the sound from the guitar straight to the amp will also be the sound in bypass mode. Gusto ko ma prove kung talagang true-bypass sya. Again at first, when I compared the sound, when in bypass mode, the high is somewhat cut. I thought baka dahil sa long cables or sa cable mismo. So I tried another cable (KLOTZ) galing sa pedal papunta sa amp. The other cable is proel galing sa guitar papunta sa pedal. Then I compared again. The sound is pretty identical. So depende rin sa cable na gagamitin pala.

I just got this Digitech RP6. It's quite good. I just hate the distortion because you have less choice. There are two choices, one is an OD and second is the DIST. You can setup the sound by tweaking its gain and the eq. I can't really get a good tone unless I really give my time on it.

Has any of you guys tried this thing out? It's an awesome multieffects unit but you must have time to tweak it. I have no question when it comes to modulations and the delay. I love Digitech when it comes to that. But for me, dists in their multis does not give me a good sound.

I also use an RP50. But now, the edit buttons have failed and I can't adjust the effects. Luckily it broke when I finished setting it up. But it got stuck to that set up. Any of you guys know how to fix this?

THANKS!!!

The reasons why I chose Hardwire CM-2 Tube Overdrive over Bad Monkey are:

Hardwire:
True bypass-no tone sucking
Two voicing- Classic and Modern

I want to test CM-2 and Bad Monkey head to head pag na makabili nako ng Bad Monkey.

I once had a Bad Monkey pero na trade ko for guitar plus cash.
I liked it. But not that transparent. May konting mid hump.

The Hyper Phase has an annoying volume drop......... I have a multi-chorus too! But it pretty much sucks tone, though not in a bad way, but it's just different with it and without it even if the effect is off..  :x

As for their analog series, I've tried the Screamin Blues, the Grunge, ang the Hot Rod. The Hotrod and Screamin Blues are both great pedals,  :-D The Grunge though is a little too distorted to me... anything past 9 o'clock drive seems useless  :-(

the BM can be modded easily though to make it more transparent. Anyways, haven't tried the CM-2. But if you would get it head to head, you'll notice the tonesuck in the BM.

That's the reason why I want to buy a used but not abused na Bad Monkey para mapa MOD. Gusto ko rin na ma true-bypass sya.

The CM-2 is the true-bypass version of the Bad Monkey with the added tweakability between CLASSIC and MODIFIED voicings. With more headroom, nice accessories (STOMPLOK and glow-in-the dark sticker, velcro), bright blue led, transparent (adds sparkle and clarity to notes). Twice the price nga lang but lesser than boutique pedals.
