Just a few months ago he made one for New Life Ministries located in one of the theaters in Market Market. It cost about 11k. made from 2 sheets of acrylic. 3 panels with the main panel 4 feet wide. the side panels 2 feet wide each connected with plastic hinges. Cost was about 11k

Magandang araw po sa lahat ng drummers! tanong ko lang po sana kung saan nakakapagpgawa ng acrylic na drum shields and kung magkano, actually po kasi yung previous thread po na regarding sa drum shields e di ko na po mahanap (parang nabura na po, ayaw gumana nung link na bookmark ko)

Tanong ko na rin po pala kung saan nakaka bili ng headphone amp na konting channels lang po (not more than two), yun po kasi yung gagamiting monitoring system ng drummer. Thanks po and GOD bless!!!

Ang alam ko di ito sound dampener, kasi ang purpose lang nito ay marinig mo ung compressed sound ng drums mo at para hindi magspill pag nasa stage ka pag live, good for the house mix. Ang ginawa ko sound proof foam sa harap ng kit para ung kick drum walang reverb, mas solid ung tunog, try mo. kaso ididikit mo ung makapal na foam sa plywood para mapatayo mo. hehe

mmmmmm. actually naghahanap ako ng cheap way to soundproof my room. haha. even thinking of making an isolation booth na kasya ang drums. ahahah. anyway search more threads!

balita sa shield mo brad? if you want, pwede ka dumaan sa church namin para magka idea ka sa design. nabuo ko na yung samin, DIY lang. maganda naman. cost ng acrylic sheets e 8,100 pesos. 1/4" thickness nya. bale ten panels, 5 pcs na 5'X2' at 5 pcs na 1'X2'

ask ko lang po kung san po pede magpagawa nung clear na cage ng drumset? balak po kasi ng church namin na palitan yung cage, mababa kasi yung cage eh...

gawa ka na lang bro. madali lang naman gawin un eh. hanap ka lang ng nagbebenta ng acrylic panels (try mo mga glass shops). bali limang 5 ft X 1 ft sa main panel tapos limang 2 ft X 1 ft para sa deflectors. 1/4" ung kapal nung mga acrylic. tpos lagyan mo na lang ng hinges para ma-connect mo sila.

anong reason bat kayo naglagay ng cage?

drum shields are a novelty more than a necessity. nakakatulong lang sya sa paglessen ng direct mic bleed between the drums and the vocalist. other than that, hindi naman sya nakakabawas sa lakas ng tunog ng drums

if you want to lessen the sound of your acoustic drums, then i suggest you do more research. constructing a booth will be a better solution. check mo to http://www.clearsonic.com/IsoPacs.htm

kung gusto mo pa rin magpagawa ng cage, punta ka sa manila acrylic center sa tabi ng binondo church. kaya nila gumawa pero hindi nila alam yun kung sasabihin mo drum shield or cage. magdala ka lang ng drawing

wag 1/4" na acrylic, use 1/2" para mas stiffer kasi kailangan nya tumayo mag isa.

Mag canvass na lang tayo ng acrylic panels tulad ng sinabi ni sir jefisipbata.

eto nga pala yung sa ginawa ko para sa church namin...cost us 8100 for all the acrylic panels tapos 2000 sa hinges and "plastic connector" nung panel and deflectors.

eto pala yung sinasabi kong plastic connector (not sure of the proper term)

got my hinges and connector from Tom Curtis of http://www.drum-shield.com, wala kase ko makitang hinges na ganito dito sa pinas and the reason kaya 1/4" thickness nung panels, yun kase ang kasya dun sa hinges. as you can see, kaya naman nya tumayo magisa although if you will use other hinge, mas advisable to use 1/2" panels as sir peeves said, mas rigid yun syempre.

ei sensya sa late reply, galing province eh, wala ko internet dun...anyways yung acrylic galing sa isang supplier namin, try ko hanapin yung resibo, although karamihan naman ng nagbebenta ng acrylic kaya i-provide ung ganyang config. basta pa-cut nyo na lang sa kanila. teka, san nga pala church nyo kase kame sa morayta, manila, so baka malayo sa inyo yun. pm ko kayo pag nalaman ko na kung saan binili yung acrylic.

mga kaPM, meron po ba kayong kilala na gumagawa ng drum shields dito? ung parang ganito:

need po kasi namin sa church ng ganito.

magkano po kaya aabutin? kung DIY po, san po ako makakabili ng materials (acrylic panels/fiberglass)
need help naman po, nakakita na po ako ng mga topics about this dito sa PM pero matagal na panahon na un. I tried to contact the numbers na nabanggit sa mga topic na un pero no use. salamat po sa tulong.
