ive read this from one of the post in TPC

whats reconditioned phones?

defective phone being sent to the manufacturer to recondition
parts/housing(cosmetics) replacement being replaced to Class A
box/accessories also Class A
will it last? as any other phone - depends on usage

i used to be a cellphone technician and i tell you, the recons are a big headache to us techs since we have to service them defective phones.

we can't prohibit the shop owners from selling them since they have their own revenues to think, and technicians have our own business as well.

but as a consumer, you know very well that buying recons are like buying half expired cakes, they look good on the outside but they can stink on the inside.

better save money and get a real phone.

share ko lang sa inyo mga bros. bad experience from greenhills. i traded my good condition sony ericson basic celphone to samsung u600 na second hand. akala ko it was a good deal kasi 1.3 megapixel slide phone at sleek design. after 1 week biglang nasira yung samsung. im residing in fairview qc,tamad na kong bumalik sa viramall para ipaayos so i went to sm fairview . dun ko nalaman na sira na pala yung flex(ribbon) kaya walang display. i spend 900 para lang mapalitan yung flex. tapos after 2 weeks nasira nanaman. so  iwent again to the same shop. have it fixed. naisip ko iswap nalang uli yung phone kaysa sumakit lang ulo ko kakapaayos.not to mention the service fees. so i have it swapped at sm fairview.now i ended up with my blackberry 8100. so far its ok. and not defective.. di pa ako nadala :-D pero i had no choice. kailangan ko na ma dispose yung samsung kasi wala na palang value to sa mga celphone centers.at , im short of cash to get a brand newphone. the lesson here is.. patience is a virtue... its best if you dont rush . ipon ka muna then buy yourself a good phone with the money that you saved
