in using two delays i think yung drummer should be always in a right timing or he uses metronome dahil pagnawala sya ackward na and delay na gamit mo magigiging maingay... :-)..the cool thing in galloping delay, its great to hear nakak adik..lol :-)

i havent experience working with zoom effects, but try this;set your delay time depends sa tempo ng song, kung itatap mo makikita mo yung time o value nito, then kung ayaw mong may tap i set mo yung time sa kagay ng time pag nakagamit ka ng tap then i believe same lang yun pag execute mo yung delay, for example sa dotted 8 note try 300 or 30 value time then the level of the effects or delay is 85-90 percent defend sa gusto mo na lakas ng delay kung may tone for color of the tone ng delay 60 percent..hope this helps

my delay box is a VOX TIME MACHINE, it can give you dotted 8ths, triplets and quarter notes

it's nice because meron kanang tap tempo, and can change from
diff bpm based sa drummer.

Also, you can change from tape echo (vintage mode) to digital delay.
i love the tape echo feel with the .8th setting.

my setting for the .8th:
Level - 12 o'clock
D.Range - 11 o'clock or 500ms
Time - not needed to set (im using the tap)
Feedback - 2 o'clock
Lo-Fi

im waiting for my DD7 to get the galloping delays sound from hillsong.
that would be.
dotted 8th + quarter note

Vox Time Machine = .8th note
Boss DD7 = quarter note

--hope that will help. thanks.

IMHO,it depends on your preference.minsan kasi (sa aking eksperyensya ) hindi magandang pakinggan ang dotted 8th note sa mga ibang songs.sa iba nag-wowork, sa iba naman hindi. bottomline is if you'll study how to use it wisely, you'll sound better than yesterday. hahaha!

Bagay lang naman and galloping delay depende sa tugtug o sa genre,i think U2 yata talaga ang may settings na ganito sa type ng music nila,na influenced ng delirious, hillsong, citipointe etc..well if you are planning to use this type of delay better have the tap tempo in using two types of delays

useful talaga ang may tap tempo kaya di ko pinapakawalan dd20.kahit anong delay pwede basta may tap.isa pa, it is better to use this type of delay (.8th) if 2 or 3 guitarist kayo.BUT I am not saying na you couldn't do this na mag-isa. I'm just saying na mas maganda pa rin pag may mga back-up guitarist. Parang choir lang yan. mas marami, mas masaya.

I have a dd7.

for a dotted eight note effect:

effect level - 12 o'clock
feedback level - 1 o'clock
delay time - minimum level "pinakamababa" (i use a tap tempo footswitch)
800ms - 12 o'clock
 :-)
No glove. No love.
