Nakita ko sa ibang forums that they use "CITRISTIP" to strip the orange paint off the neck. Available ba yun locally?
wala eh.. naghanap rin ako dati. ginamit ko lang yung off the shelf strippers sa ACE.

afaik ginawa ko lang is:
(sorry i was 15 back then)
- took off all the hardware
- applied the stripper liberally.
- after a day or couple of hours, mag bubble yung gloss
- then tinuklap ko siya using a plastic scraper ata and coated another to remove some more
- after ng ilang uli (mga 3 ata), dun ko na sinand yung remaining goop.
- then sealed it with sanding sealer.

that is for the SX P-bass with a Rosewood fingerboard.. di ko alam kung adviseable yung sa maple fingerboard ng tele kasi di ganun ka strong yung stripper na ginamit ko di tulad nung Citristrip from the states na literal na kayang tanggalin lahat pati sa fingerboard.. harang kasi yung frets eh kung i sand using sandpaper.
till now stable naman yung neck nung bass at tele.. wala naman sigurong mali sa ginawa ko. no warpage, no splinters etc.
or you can just use yung parang scotch brite na green pads na light lang.. scuff lang yung gloss nung likod para di siya makapit pag pawisin. just like what I did to my main player.
