Anyone have an update about Mike Guglielmucci  of PlanetShakers? Has he recovered from cancer na?

Kakabless.. Anyone heard that song? Search niyo sa youtube. He's even wearing that oxygen machine to help him breath while singing..

First time ko nadinig yung song was nung nag-concert yung United dito. I didn't know na it was a Planetshakers original. I think he's still undergoing treatment pa din eh, kasi nung nag-punta United dito, Joel Houston prayed for Mike's healing eh as well as the others who were present at the concert. But yes, nakaka-bless talaga yung lyrics nung song na yun. And by His stripes we are healed!" Nakaka-identify ako dun sa song na yun kasi meron din akong pinagdaanan na sickness and God healed me from it! Amazing God indeed!

Nakaka-bitin!!! :-( :-( :-(

It was nice meeting you sir and champoi! Sayang hindi na tayo naka-hang out. 'Di bale sa next EB, kita-kita tayo!

See you all later po. :-D

Alam nyo na naman po number ko e, just text me, will be there early. :-D

mga bro hingi lang ako ng advice.

most of us play in praise&worship team.

• most songs you play? tagalog? hillsong type? don moen? planet shakers? etc.

• do use distortion?
particularly what type/brand?

• which do you use most? OD's or distortion? or both?

• do you cascade OD's (2 or more OD's)?
what particular?

• do you cascade OD's and other dirt pedals?
what particular?
Songs? Anything. Though mostly Hillsong, Delirious, Jason Upton, Misty Edwards, Rick Pino, Passion, older P&W songs kami with a touch of Lakewood, Casting Crowns at purely Tagalog songs sa afternoon service.

As for distortions, I have an EHX Big Muff and a Fulltone OCD. Problema ko lang, di ko talaga sila ma-classify as pure distortion pedals (Muff-fuzz/distortion, OCD-OD/Distortion/I think amp simulator would be best).

50-50 use ko ng OD's and distortions. Though right now, naka-leave ako sa instruments so 50% of 0 = 0 :-P

I cascade OD's all the time to make different flavors of dirt. OCD >> Fulldrive 2. Very flexible basta tama pagkaka-tweak.

Same idea naman with the OD's and the Muff. Different flavors of OD/fuzz/distortion. OCD >> Fulldrive 2 >> Big Muff

My current chain sa church:
Guitar >> Korg Pitchblack >> Boss AC-2 >> Teese RMC-4 >> Fulltone OCD >> Fulltone Fulldrive 2 MOSFET >>  EHX Big Muff >> MXR Phase 90 >> Line6 DL-4 >> Peavey Valveking 112
Next in line: Retro Sonic Chorus, MXR Flanger, MXR 10-band EQ, Kalikot Audio Hikari (I really miss this pedal), at isang active DI for the AC-2. Next year na tong mga to.

Baka mapag-palit ko pa yung position ng dalawang Fulltone for even more flexibility sa dirt. Whacha think???

Hope this helps. :-D

tnx for your time.

meron nga pala ako nabasa (hindi ko lang ma-alala yung link) na MGC don't use distortion. he said daw na he only use OD's.

Sakin naman:

- We play mostly Hillsong, United, Planetshakers, Youth Alive, Chris Tomlin, Lakewood, New Life Worship and tagalog songs (pag-morning Sunday services). As you can see, we are a dirt-pedal oriented worship team (mostly OD), but depende pa din yun sa pagka-tweak mo ng dirt pedals mo, wag naman yung tipong naka-todo yung gain mo, I'm sure talagang may magre-react kapag ganun.

- I use a Boss MT-2, pero ginagamit ko lang naman yun pang mga driving & rhythm songs lang and sobrang baba ng setting ng gain ko.

- I use OD's almost all the time.

- Yes, I cascade an OD-3 with an SD-1 as boost for solo's.

My setup is: DT-10 >> Dunlop GCB95-FW >> MT2 >> OD3 >> SD1 >> EQ >> PH2 >> BF2 >> DD5 (Just becasue of MGC, hehehe. Next target ko na pedal is a DM2 or 3).

ako rin sali, hehehe...

i play sa CCF music ministry and with 2 christian bands, building bridges band and HISound band.

as for the songs, we play the usual, integrity, lakewood, hillsong, hillsong united and compositions. sa CCF madalas eh lakewood areglo kami and the old integrity hits like yung mga ron kenoly, don moen, etc. songs. sa building bridges, mas driven mga songs namin, medyo rock/fusion/jazz/blues/experimental inspired yung mga songs. sa HISound, typical christian and christian contemporary music, hehe.

yup i use distortion and OD pedals, i have 2, or 2 and 1/2, hehe. an MI audio blues pro OD and ZVex box of rock. bale sequence nila sa board ko, una yung blues pro as OD then yung box of rock as disto with boost (may boost circuit kasi yun eh).

which do i use most? i use them both madalas, depende sa need nung song, hehe. basta setting ko eh meron akong low gain OD tone and high gain, meaning makapal na disto tone for those heavy rhythm passages.

yup i cascade my pedals, depende din sa need and sa guitar na gamit ko, hehe. puro single coil yung mga gitara ko eh, strat, tele and LP with P90's. medyo kailangan ko mag-cascade pag naka-strat and tele, kasi sa P90's medyo busog na eh since mas makapal tone nya. then i also use the boost circuit of the box of rock to boost both pedals, or even yung clean tone ko minsan, pag kailangan ng volume boost, hehe.

anyway, eto yung setup ko:

guitar -> homebrew electronics compressor retro > vox 847 wah > boss TU-2 > MI audio blues pro OD > ZVex box of rock > fulltone choralflange > TC electronic nova delay > EHX holy grail plus reverb > sansamp triac -> amp/PA

sa CCF, since ampless setup kami dun, i use the sansamp triac as my amp sim, then direct  box then derecho na sa PA. masaya ako sa amp sim ng triac, hehe. sa building bridges naman, naka-bypass lang yung sansamp, then nakasaksak ako either sa fender hotrod deluxe or matchless tube amp.

http://peeweevivas.multiply.com/music/item/112/Resurrection_Sunday_Worship

so yun, hehe. hope this helps!

_______________________________________________________________

The first set was kinda "hilaw" ( fm a music critic's point of view ), the sound system was disappointing, the house speakers was muffled, if you’re not familiar w/ the lyrics of the song, then you won't understand what they're singing...

I guess that the first two songs was an adjustment period for the sound engineer... it was only on the 3rd song "King of Majesty" that you can hear the drums & the bass guitar clearly, there was a guitar solo... he was playing a Strat,( thus the "thin/glassy" single coil tone)... as for the other guitar player, I couldn't really hear him. ( baka hindi naka house yung Amp niya )

the lead vocalist was really energetic, but sometimes was grasping for breath & was kinda off key... so was w/ the back up singers... I guess this team was not the "main" Sonicflood band, parang understudy lang sila or something like that... again, I might be wrong, but what's important is that they are doing this for the glory of God & that's what really matters...

there was this Fil/Am dude who testified during the break... mga 20m din yun... the crowd was getting bored bcoz  the audio really sucks at that point... you really need to listen closely to understand what he's saying... 90% of the crowd are youth, I guess all they really came for is to hear "open the eyes"...

Ganun kalayo!

the crowd went wild w/ "I want to know you"... galing ng bahista, parang si Billy Sheehan sa showmanship. I lost count of how many songs they did… what was really striking for me was Rick Heil’s testimony. It was so touching how he found the Lord…

He was diagnosed w/ colon cancer when he was still young, he had a series of operations & the doctors took out something like 8 feet of his intestines t& he had to be fed on tube w/c was really painful that he was thinking of committing suicide…

His life changed when he hanged out w/ some “Jesus Freaks”, went to church w/ them, and made a prayer of acceptance that changed the direction of his life. He sang “Above All” & it was so emotional that crowd was in tears praying and lifting their arms… Rick made an altar call, he and the bass player went down the stage to pray for the people who responded to the altar call… the keyboardist segued “heart of worship” w/ “above all”… when Rick got back on the stage he read some phrases fm the book of Psalms it was so awesome how they improvise fm whatever leading they have… ( I think they don’t follow any line up coz Rick just tells the keyboardist what’s the next tune is…)

The guitar player did some solos, nothing amazing… ( no sweep arpeggios, no harmonic minors, tappings, dive bombs or any flashy tricks ), & that’s really great coz I’m sick & tired of Yngwie/Pettrucci & Vai wanna be's[/i]…he played his heart out, got a great tone fm. his Black Beauty Les Paul. ( iba talaga tunog nung Humbuckers pag live)! Galing din sa Showmanship yung keyboardist… Performance level talaga!

They did 3 or more rock tunes before doin’ “ open the eyes “ w/c again made the crowd jump up & down. YUMANIG ang Araneta coliseum. Just when the crowd thought that it was the last song, Sonicflood did 2 more numbers. Grave energy nila!  Finished the set w/ an acapella  of  “I Love You Lord”…
