About Epiphone.
It is pronounced E-PI-PHONE with a stress on the E.
I heard someone prounounced it as E-PI-PHO-NY. Natawa ako.
Epiphone came from Epaminondas Statoupholos a Greek-American luthier. His nickname is Epi. Epiphone can be construed as the sound of Epi.
