Just to answer Zach...

Generally, it is more important for the guitar to be made in the USA. Quality control is better in US factories.

brings to mind the Fender Mexico scenario: Mexican strats were made by Mexicans in Mexico, Am strats were made in Mexicans in US.

my answer: if the company is legit, i'd say"who made them" is more important. Madami nang made in China ngayon, including Bogner Alchemists, Egnater Rebels/Renegades, ESP LTD's, North Face Goretex Jackets and Nikon lenses. Anything made in the States nowadays is just going to be too frikkin expensive.

Ako kahit saan gawa basta mataas ang quality. Kaya lang naman "pangit" ang quality ng Chinese made eh dahil yun ang purpose nila, Entry Level.

Kung gawa nga sa China pero choice tone wood, high quality craftsmanship, and high quality electronics, edi why not.

siguro ang magandang gitara ay yung ginawa ng chinese or american na may experience sa paggawa. doesnt matter where because ung equipment sa paggawa ay madadala kahit saan. sa materials naman, hindi ko alam kasi kahit mahal o mura ang wood mo may sarili siyang tunog na maaring gusto mo o ayaw mo.

since parehas gibson ang company so maybe QC and factory specs and tools/equipment shud be the same (pero kung magaling mga gumagawa malaki probability na mas madami sila maproduce na maganda quality-na above company quality standards d b)

..a big difference could be the materials used (ex. malamang iba ang wood or hardware dahil kukuha sila sa malapit na lugar dahil magastos pag malayo..ex..sa china - asian wood ginagamit at sa usa - american/mexican wood)..malamang yung american made bebenta sa usa at yung china sa asia market..magastos magship e..

..and regarding the workers(ones actually making/building guitars - nasa skill din e)..hmmm..i don't know though if the workers in china are actually americans..they are prob chinese..and how many chinese are making guitars in america?malamang mexicans don..haha..ewan

..importante matry yung mga guitara din..kasi minsan kung maswerte ka makakahanap ka ng mganda yung gawa tlga..baka kinokompare mo yung iisang pinakamagandang na produce ng isang factory na way beyond quality standards (baka naganahan lang ang magaling na mga worker don nung araw na yon dahil me libre pizza..hehe..ewan)..sa isang pinakapangit na pasang awa sa quality standards na naproduce ng ibang factory(or worse yung nakalusot lang sa quality control dahil yung naginspect nung araw na yon nabasted ng crush nya..at wala na pakealam sa buhay..hehe..ewan)

If it sounds good, who give an eff where it's made, how it's made, how big a hole it burned in your wallet, or what the sticker says on the headstock. Listen with your ears, not with your eyes, your mind (which tends to play mind games on you) or your wallet ("I paid a fortune so it must sound like a fortune"). Sometimes knowing too much about the guitar could cloud your perception of its sound. This is a classic case of "less is more".
