the best ive used so far was a marshall halfstack....the worse was the PA system...i hate it....i prefer clubs with two amps!

i hate when they ask you to plug into the PA system! kaya pag di ko dala yung amp ko i bring my v-amp. still doesnt sound like a real amp pero much better than going straight into the PA.

Invest in a very good DI box then :) me mga DI na merong Amp sims..ok lang sa kin kahit plug sa PA, whether naka multi effects ako or naka analog peds...

i really like the fender amp over at mayrics... whenever it's available, that is. half the time, it's sitting idly at their storage or it's getting repaired.

club sex din dati ok gamit. too bad it's now closed.

sa 70s bistro, again ok yung fender amp, but the manager will always warn you to keep the volumes low.

freedom bar... wala. there was a time when their lone guitar amp was busted, so me and the other guitarist in our band had to share their damned keyboard amp. chances are, this won't be happening anymore as freedom will be closing shop soon (or has it already?).

yeah ako rin... sa freedom bar. first time ko nakagamit ng magandang amp dun marshall halfstack. pero i guess dahil kasabay namin imago nun kaya ganun.

fender stage 100 maganda rin pero i can't remember kung saan ko ginamit yun.

crappiest amp sa gig na natugtog ko is ironically a mesa boogie... grabe sabog ata tubes nun eh ayaw tumunog paos hehe...

Here in Ottawa, most times, you have to bring your own gear with you. Some places provide a PA, some provide you with a soundman and a PA, some others they provide nothing but a stage. So in order for a band to do gigs here, you will need to have pretty much everything from PA, mics, drum kits, amplifiers, lights etc. I used to bring my Fender Twin to all the gigs/practices until I got tired of lugging it all over the place. For one thing its gotten really beat up so I thought I'd invest on a smaller amp that I can gig with and not break my back carrying around. So now I've been using a Peavey Classic 30.

The only time they usually provide everything is when there are multiple bands playing like for instance during "battle of the bands" kinda thing.

But for me, even if they provide amps, I always use my own. Just a comfort thing I suppose.

Well, it actually depends on the band if they want to bring and use their own gear.
