ako nagjajamming ako mag-isa sa bahay. pero yun nga, wala ako mashadong natututunan. question, how do i make practice more "fruitful"? hehe nangyayari kasi i do the same stuff all the time, hehe.
hey bro, its a simple. all you have to do is set goals, and a rough timeframe to achieve them. woodshedding and practice involve alot of time management. but the best way is to focus.
e.g. i wanna nail the intro to garsed's "undoing". 1st i identify the rhythmic division of the intro in the tab, then fire up the metronome at a slow setting. gradually increase. then... try not to fall asleep or get mesmerized by the clicks.
nowadays, practicing has become a rare "circumstance" for me due to my busyness. when i had the time to kill, i'd give it an hour (or as long as i dont fall asleep!), break, back for 15mins, get on with "living" back again.
but i stress the importance of goal setting, this is vital to your craft, especially if you lead a busy sched and want to keep your chops up to par.
what i did, was find out the basic excercises i need to work on just to keep in shape during the week. kahit 10mins lang working on it, such as coordination, strength, timing. that way, i don't lose the pulse, pagdating sa weekend i'm ready to fark with shet again
btw- too much practice isn't good for you. you don't have to work hard, it's more important to work smart. focus and compress your energy and time
