Who can join

- The band competition is open strictly to CCAP members only
- All band members must be employed by a CCAP call center member
- There should be at least three members and a mximum of eight members in the band
- Only one band can represent each CCAP call center member
- Only ROCK or POP bands (no ALL VOCAL group) with NO EXISTING CONTRACT with any record label are eligible to join

Elimination round (Nov 8, 2009 SM Centerstage, Mall of Asia)

- Each CCAP call center member can participate in the elimination round
- Each band will perform one cover song live
- Total playing time is a maximum of 5 minutes (playing time only, set-up not included)
- Playing order will be determined by a draw before the elimination
- A panel of judges will determine the top 12 finalists

Grand finals (Nov 22, 2009 Le Pavillion Metropolitan Pasay City)

- Only the top 12 finalists can participate in the grand finals
- Each band will perform one cover song live
- Total playing time is a maximum of 5 minutes (playing time only, set-up not included)
- Playing order will be determined by a draw before the grand finals
- A panel of judges will determine the winners

**Entry form must be submitted to CCAP Secretariat Office on or before October 21, 2009**

hahaha.  bro, hindi si russell yung nag-keyboards. ako yun.  kamukha ko pala si russell?  magagalit yun.  we're from the same batch during our dredd days starting '94 and yes, bassist din ako na napilitan mag-move to keyboards just for this gig kasi walang pwede tumugtog.  venus flytrap ako galing but we never had any recording contract. russell was only 15 years old when we played together at dredd and ako, 19 or 20 na yata nun.  so ngayon, obviously matanda na ako.  ehehe.

but yes, nakakagulat kasi lahat halos ng tumugtog is rakrakan and sykes played something different.  

i loved the performance of aegis people support.  sobrang linis nung tugtog nila and they got the crowd going. they placed first by the way during the elimination round.

another personal favorite is yung mejazz na nag big blues band rendition ng pare ko of eraserheads. sobrang different rendition and feel mo talaga yung soul from basslines to piano improvisation. lalo na siguro kung nagkulot-kulot yung boses ng vocalist na parang egoy talaga.

another one that i really liked is yung sa sitel na nag-jamaican style singing. at bakit hindi kasi he's the frontman for urbanation.  ang ganda talaga ng boses especially when he started with his RNB falsetto voice of his.  di ko nga maalala kung sitel nga yun pero i'm sure maaalala niyo yun song number nila.  may spiel pa na let's start with a prayer sa intro nila. astig!

dami magaling.  those are just what i can remember from the top of my head pero dami talaga magaling.  just couldn't recall the names of the bands or the call center kasi ang dami.  nice treat for everyone!

sana din laging all out yung crowd.  kasi nung first part it was still divided by call center.  parang bawal pumalakpak o makikanta kung di niyo call center.  nung last 10 bands, wala nang pakialamanan.  basta maganda yung tugtugan, lahat makikita mo na umiindak na. and they all applaud kapag malinis at maganda yung tugtugan. 

kudos to CCAP for pulling it off yet again!
