Most ( if not all ) parents of guitar player's girlfriends are against us... I remember them telling my fiancee ( at the time ) to find a lawyer, doctor, pilot or some professional to be her husband... & not some guitar player/music teacher/biker w/ long hair & wears faded jeans, combat boots & leather jacket all the time

Statements like..."ano papakain sayo nyan"? strings ng gitara? (I wonder if i could make Spaghetti w/ D'Addarios) mag asawa ka nalang ng British na piloto o kaya diplomat... ( she was a FA back then for Cathay Pacific ).
After more than two decades we now have three kids, ( all musicians )
; all goes to private schools; the eldest is in college, taking up com-sci; plays drums ala Portnoy, guitars, bass, & keys... the 2nd is a bluesman
( loves jimmy page, SRV, Hendrix ); & the youngest (gurl) plays violin
, keys, guitar
, drums & sings also...
We have our own house at a decent village, a music school / Studio, & I've manage to raise my kids in an environment surrounded w/ music. We may not be filthy rich like politicians & corrupt govt' officials,
but Music ( & music ministry ) is our passion. Always have been.
