hardcase pg my sariling sasakyan pero gigbag lang pg comute kase hirap tlga mg bibitbit pg hardcase parusa. hirap isakay sa tricycle etc.

we always have to choose between safety and comfort... kahit saang bagay:

seatbelt
safety shoes
welding mask
helmet
condom

for me, hardcase all the way

You'll definitely need both. Softcase/Gig bag for short distances and Hardcase for travel/etc.

If one, I'd rather take the hardcase. Better safe than sorry, even if it's heavy as hell.

i have the same dilemma. Pede ba talga sa compartment ang gitara in terms of local flights? Ito talga ang problem ko. I'm planning to buy a Hiscox case for my tele but I think it invites them more to let your guitar go as a check-in luggage rather than a handcarry for musical instrument..... is this truer than true?

depende din sa kahoy ng guitar, yung iba kasi napipilitan mag hardcase kasi mabilis ma-dent yung body even padded yung gig bag, like my electric guitar..

PAL & Cebupacific allow 1 handcarry guitar with soft bag of course. with hardcase checks-in. You need to properly place it on the overhead compartment and watch those people squeezing their bags, better yet help them, pogi points ka pa. What i always do is wrap the guitar with additional cloth or bubble wraps, pad the knobs and the switchtip (LP) and the headstock for added protection. do the same with check-ins and you'll be fine.

i fly back 3x a year, always have 2-3 pabili guitarswith me. one time akala ko ok na yun harcase, pagbukas ko putol yun sw tip ng LP, yun steel sw tip, i had to replace it, so after that, i did this ^

my advise is to handcarry your most loved ax and check in your backups

for strats/tele type guitars - ok lang softcase,since di masyado delikado than angled headstocks

for LP - i prefer hardcases,its safer to lug around,though mahirap magbyahe lalo pag commute lang...

-customized Softcase ni Mang Butch when gigging within the city...

-dependable Hardcase for gigs out of town and abroad...

-if you have a car then definitely use Hardcase all the way...
