my guitar doesn't have an effing TRUSS ROD!!

its a 5000 peso guitar from raon (bolt on).. well i had it for almost 3 years now, it has a truss rod cover... when i opened it 5 mins ago.. i almost pooped my pants seeing it doesnt have a truss rod... so how the hell am i supposed to adjust its relief? i cant see any thing that might resemble a truss rod...

any ideas? bka may mga experience na kayong ganito?

is it a strat style guitar? you might want to check underneath the pickguard. if it's not there, then that sucks.

eh kahit na... dapat may truss parin... may tig 2.5k nga na gitara pero may truss rod... oh well... papalitan ko narin naman ito sooner or later... sayang eto panaman first guitar na binili ng erpat ko para sakin, too bad.

not strat style... i opened the back cover, no luck. oh well... balak ko kasing pagandahin to dahil may sentimental value, tapos lagyan ng magagandang hardware pati pick ups.. ayun, pero parang di ata advisable yun...

OT: ay ganun po ba? overpriced yung 5k para sa mga copy dun sa RAON? pano po kung Gibson LP na Gibson din yung tatak (meaning its totally not gibson so it has no brand at all), tapos presyo nya nasa 7.5k, ano po dapat yung range ng mga LP sa raon? di pa ako nkakapunta dun eh kasi taga palawan ako

nung nakita ko wow ganda fender strat tapos tinignan ko ung likod tapos  ung bolt on plate nakalagay ibanez sabi ko wtf

ang malala pa may butas para sa truss rod pero ala mismo truss rod

i don't think its worth it
Dami ko pang nakikitang mas maganda for 2-4k budget. Nasayang lang, pero
may sentimental value pa rin, first electric guitar ko, But it sucks. Binenta ko for 2k

nung nabasag ko yung body, nakita kong plywood or plyboard lang siya,
nung pinahiram ko to sa isang gitarista ang daling ma detune,
there's something wrong with its neck. May nakita naman akong
parang truss rod, bakal sa neck nung binuksan ko yung cover sa may head

oo kung experienced ka na sa mga ganyang bagay, pipili ako ng mas maganda. regalo lang rin kasi sakin yun, kaya hndi ako nakapili at wala naman akong pake kung anong klaseng gitara meron ako nun, basta magkaron lang. haha... okay lang rin, actually okay tunog nya malutong din, tapos yung body nya mabigat parang 40% mas mabigat sa strat. my guitar saw me through thick and thin... 3 battle of the bands na napanalo nyan, pati mga gigs... pero ngayon tumaas na yung action so wala na akong option display nalang... hehehe... sige salamat po sa tulong nyo!

Come to think of it, it is overpriced. Wouldnt buy any guitar worth 5k without a truss rod. Anyway, TS, if it served you well eh di wala ka dapat panghinayangan. Move on and start your search for your next workhorse. Good luck!

sir boogsy has a great point. ganyan dn nangyari sakn e. pero mas light namn. sakn ksi tinrade ko ibanez ko for a fake fender squier strat. of course i dint know it was fake back then. i was so awed by the cream white strat that i dint see the fake serial. too cut the long story short, did wat mr boogsy said and it removed my mind from it. hahaha.

sure buy locking tuners and tune your guitar to C-standard using 8's as a string gauge, so if you want to tune it to standard E, just use a capo with..

but seriously dont do the above and buy a guitar with a trussrod..years ago my bro and dad went to divisoria for some vcds'(no dvd back then), and they got this 1.5K guitar for me..seriously it wasnt worth anything..body was made of coco-lumber, with glued one so called frets(because the fretboard didnt have a fret-slot)and poor excuse for hardware(not even china made), open tuners from a mandolin..
