hmm.  Pearl Masters, Starclassic bubinga, a 2nd hand car, or a fully soundproofed room? HAHA ITS SO HARRD. but yea, convenience comes from lots of hardwork. and i don't doo much hardwork. sadly. I'll put that soundproof room in my goals. hehehehe

It really depends on what your priorities are. If you really love music and want to pursue a career in it whether it be profitable or not, above everything else, you need to practice, and practice some more. You don't even need a soundproofed room right away. Heck you can just go to your nearest rehearsal studio and make a deal with the owner na wag na on ang aircon so you get a lower rate lalo na mag-isa ka lang. Or schedule practice at off peak hours. I bet you can work out an arrangement of P50/hr. 3 times a week na 3hrs. ensayo, at less than P2,000 a month, you get 36hrs. of practice. There are so many things you can do if you want to improve yourself.

I did dream about buying the Bubinga Kit. But sound better it might, I know it won't make me a better drummer. You can have the best gear in the world and still sound like crap. My advice is, get decent and properly maintained equipment (new or used) and spend more on improving Time/Pocket and not on new equipment.

Happy Drumming!

Ben

For the 8.5ft X 8.5ft X 10ft Iso Room (built from the ground up), total cost is around P200,000.00. Masakit talaga pero the first six months of use is well worth the investment. Hindi mo mababayaran yung convenience ng ensayo anytime and at full volume.

Ben

Amen to that bro! Ganda ng soundproof studio mo. Mas gaganahan ka tumugtog niyan.

That's not bad for 200k considering its built from the ground up. Ano ginamit mo for soundproofing? May fiberglass layers in between walls?

The stock heads are good. I like the attack and open sound of single ply heads. The key is to tune them correctly before using them.

I'm sure mas maganda tunog ng Evans/Remo. Sayang din kasi itong stock heads kaya binubugbog ko muna pang ensayayo lang. Pero kasubuan, tama si glennaui. Nakukuha sa pihit kung sintunado ang heads.

Ben

Salamat sa pag-agree sir ben... :-D... I really admire your room... I myself just finish my drumroom last december kaso hindi pa sound proof... pero wala naman problema sa kapit-bahay kay ok lang kahit magbugbugan na kame ng drums ko... lalo na ngayun at nakabili ulit ako ng isa pang kit... :-D

By the way, anu po yung mixer na gamit nio? kasi bumili ako ng 2nd hand Berhinger mixer last week... Kung alam nio po ito, pacomment naman kung ok... Pero nasubukan ko na sya kasama ng Audio Technica Drum mics... ok naman....
