mga sir, yung neck ko sa strat ko mejo mahirap mag fast riffs eh. lalo na pag  malayo ung kelangan ko i fret. i'm thinking of sanding the finish off just a bit, but i wanna make sure i wont be screwing it up. Kahit Fernando lang gitara ko, parang anak ko na un.

salamat mga sir.

it's as low as it'll go without any fret buzz.

ung problema ung sticky finish nia, not the action or neck width. mahirap lang talaga mag move around. from going 5th-12 fret matagal at kumakadkad. that's why i'm thinking of sanding the finish down so that the sticky finish won't be such a bother.

have you tried polishing the neck?

using powder seems to be worth a try, if you don't mind the mess.

try taking it off with some solvent..like Stripsoll..
I think those are available in hardware stores..
be careful with skin contact though.

i don't know about this one. i use stripsoil to remove thick layers of paint from guitar bodies. it's slow, messy and will not affect the painted surface evenly. it's better to use fine sandpaper instead.

any specific sort/kind of sandpaper?

i might try the powder..but it's messy and kinda impractical to keep on applying whenever i play.

salamat mga sir.

powder? parang bilyar ah.. hehe! but yeah, it works naman e. or kung natatabaan ka talaga sa neck mo, i think mas matitripan mo yung mga neck profile ng Ibanez slim necks. although kelangan mo palitan yung guitar mo nun :)

"ung problema ung sticky finish nia, not the action or neck width. mahirap lang talaga mag move around."

it's not the width. i can go play as fast as i want. and i'm comfortable with the neck and everything EXCEPT the finish. MALAGKIT siya kaya ko iniisipan na hasain ko nalang. it's not that the neck's too big or too wide or anything, sakto lang. pero ung malagkit na finish lang talaga problema.

sorry mga sir kung malabo pagkasabi ko nung una.
