ay oo nga ano.
my dvd player is choosy kahit na may divx, xvid, mp4 logos siya sa harap.
it claims to play those formats pero nabigo rin ako nung una.
most dvd players coming out of the market today (yung mga made in china)
do support these formats or at least claim to support these formats.
siguro, check the manual na lang muna before buying. usually, restrictive sila
sa image size (nothing over 740x480) chaka sa bit rate, chambahan ito. most of these dvd players
cost less than 2k (yung mga typical na may USB/SD card slot).
but there is still hope for you... i once burned a single video i made (encoded
as MP4) as DATA CD without the usual DVD menu and the videos were not in *.vob format
... it worked fine. my dvd player was probably manufactured in 2008 or 2009 (china).
final verdict ko, get the NBOX. if you really want to play it on a DVD player,
get the latest chipipay DVD player (orange, rainbow, ganzklar etc).
NBOX (800-ish pesos) VS DVD player (1.5k and up).
NBOX = virtually indestructible (no mechanical/moving parts, no wear and tear)
DVD = usual life span is about 2 years.
ang wear and tear lang if you go the nbox route is restricted only to your hard disk
and as we all know, a good hard disk (seagate) will last AT LEAST 5 years.
