survey lang mga bro, given the only 2 options, ano mas pipiliin niyo on neck position and why ? an air norton or a PAF pro ? this is for an rg HSH config and im aiming for that clean fat on the neck and clean glassy on 4 switch position (neck mid combo)

I tried it on a friend's seven string Ibby. I think it's an Ibanez RG7321. Sounds like the typical Tonezone we all know but a bit darker kasi mahogany body. Compared with my basswood body Ibby na naka-Tonezone din, di masyado nalabas yun grit though mas mabigat tumunog. Well, that's what my ears told me.

Medyo na-GAS nga ako dun sa 7-string Ibby na yun e.

I'm so intrigued by the Air Classic set. I got to try it on an Ibanez RG321mh, MarkV's Ibby to be specific. Though they're low/vintage output pickups, they very well suit my taste for heavy riffing stuff. I love that "twangy" character specially on the bridge. Labas na labas yun clarity ng notes! Napapaisip tuloy ako kung etong set na to o SD Blackouts for my RGA32.

Sirs, may question lang po ako. i have Epiphone Les paul traditional pro (mahogany). balak ko po palitan yung stock pups. bali pumunta ako sa site ng dimarzio na Pickup selector. on the bridge part i want more sustain then ang top 1 na lumabas is Super Distortion. then on the neck part is i want warmer/fatter then ang top 1 po ay Liquifire.

May nakapag try na po ba dito ng Liquifire-Super Distortion combo sa LP nila na mahogany? is it good? thanks po! kung may alam kayo na mas magandang combination ano po yun?

Mga sir, pahingi naman po ng suggestions. Balak ko po kasing i-modify yung Squier Classic Vibe '60s Stratocaster ko, papalitan ko yung bridge pickup (SC) ng humbucker. Style of music na habol ko - avant-garde music, avant-rock, experimental rock, progressive rock, instrumental rock
Inspired by Joe Satriani and Buckethead, pati Kurt Cobain (so pasok din yung Grunge, pero mas habol ko yung tunog nung mga nauna kong nilagay, kasi kung Grunge naman, parang papasok naman yung kahit anong humbucker basta hindi masyadong bassy dahil baka magtunog metal or other forms ng metal, kaya tingin ko dapat less bass, more mid and treble). Tinignan ko na yung site ng DiMarzio, tas tumingin ako ng mga pickups na tingin kong maaaring pasok sa tunog na gusto ko. Eto yung mga nakita kong pickups:

Alin kaya sa mga to yung pasok sa tunog na gusto ko tsaka compatible sa Fender/Squier Stratocaster (kasi parang nakita ko sa ibang pickups may mga description na mas maganda yung ganito ganyan sa Les Paul, kaya hinahanap ko rin yung mas fit sa Strat). Kung papakinggan ko, parang less bass, more mid and treble nga ata, pero di ako sure kaya in need po ako ng mga suggestions and tips. Suggestions din po pala kung ano okay na push-pull pots (gusto ko kasi ng coil-splitting function) - 250K or 500K? Please help, thanks po mga sir.

EDIT: Di ko rin po pala alam kung More Output, More Sustain, Warm/Fatter, Harmonics, may mga nakalagay din kasing ganyan dun sa pickup finder ng DiMarzio. Eto rin pala yung specs ng Strat ko:
- Alder body with gloss polyester finish
- modern C maple neck with gloss polyester finish
- rosewood fingerboard

EDIT: Di ko rin po pala alam kung More Output, More Sustain, Warm/Fatter, Harmonics, may mga nakalagay din kasing ganyan dun sa pickup finder ng DiMarzio. Eto rin pala yung specs ng Strat ko:

- modern C maple neck with gloss polyester finish (pero balak kong palitan ng Fender Stratocaster Neck Made in Mexico kung sakaling okay yung ganun)

Yung "More Output / More Sustain" etc. refers to the sound that you want in finding your pickup compared to the sound of your current pickup. So choosing "More Output" means you want more output compared sa output ng pickup ng CV mo. (well yan yung pagkakaintindi ko, baka may ibang explanation pala)

I have Di Marzio installed on my two guitars:

Ibanez S470DXQM

Neck - PAFPRO
Bridge - Tonezone

Ibanez S2170FB

Neck - LiquiFire
Bridge - Crunchlab

Although I like LiquiFire and Crunchlab combination, mas balance yung sound ko mapa-dirt or clean, maybe nasa style of playing din..

So choosing "More Output" means you want more output compared sa output ng pickup ng CV mo. (well yan yung pagkakaintindi ko, baka may ibang explanation pala)

Mga sir, okay kaya tong combination na to (HSH)

Neck - Air Norton S (DP180)

Middle - True Velvet Middle (DP175S)

Bridge - FRED (DP153) / Evo 2 Bridge (DP215) / Mo' Joe (DP216) / Super 2 (DP104)

So, sa bridge, pinili ko yung mga pickups na more mid and treble, less bass. Sa neck naman, yung Air Norton S (Single coil-sized humbucker). Nakita ko kasi sa description na "it has become most popular in the neck position of trem-equipped guitars for progressive music." Tsaka more bass and mid, less treble naman. Tas sa mid, True Velvet Middle (Single Coil), para kapag na-coil split yung sa bridge pickup plus ilagay sa Mid + Bridge position yung pickup selector, mareretain ko pa rin yung original Strat tone, mataas din kasi treble nung True Velvet Middle, so makukuha ko pa rin yung "quack" or yung "twang", tsaka for middle position talaga siya.

Ano po sa tingin niyo? Okay kaya siya?

If you prefer better tones than Fred, you should choose Mo' Joe. But if you want to still have that single coil vibe, try to install Paf Pro or Air Classic on the bridge position.  Or if you want more meat, Breed bridge.

Don't forget to upgrade your pots to 500k

Ayun  Nakuha kona, kaya pala sabi sa ibang description na yung 500k parang designed for les pauls, naalala ko nga pala yung mga les paul puro humbucker. Salamat ulit sir sa tips.
