Les Paul owners, help pls?
« on: June 19, 2006, 11:07:49 AM »
I have a Les Paul Standard and removed all the strings so that i could clean my fretboard & change my strings also when the bridge accidentally fell off. Now I have a problem returning it properly. Should the slanted side of the saddles face the pick-up/neck or the vertical side?

Thanks for your help.

yea facing the screws towards the pickups is your best bet.

thanks, sir! how bout the saddles? yung vertical side and yung slanted side san naka face? half triangle din ba yung saddles nyo pag side view? pag kasi yung adjustable screws facing the neck yung vertical side ng saddle facing the bridge and yung slanted side facing the neck.

hmm isn't it usually half and half? the saddles of the 3 thickest strings usually point toward the stop tailpiece and the rest face toward the pickups

Yung sa akin kasi same lahat yung position ng saddles. But if I'm going to base it sa uka ng saddles yung mas malaki na uka for the bass strings, right? ayaw ko kasi galawin yung saddles kasi hirap ayos intonation eh.

my bridge has two slanted sides facing one way, and four facing the other way.  the screws are all on the side towards the pick-ups.

pero gibson's got many bridges so see which one you have:

yung tonepros na replacement part have all the saddles facing one side:
