About headphones and other listening devices

When you practice at home do you use:

• Headphones
• Earphones
• Speakers

Or maybe you use some other devices to listen to a track while playing.
Discuss brand quality, Sound quality, and the durability of the device.

Im looking for headphones that lessen exterior noise so that I dont have to pump up the volume to be able to listen to the track while im playing.

why not go with both? I just use some standard earphones (the earbud type) + pinapatungan ko pa ng Noise Isolation Headmuffs from Ace Hardware I got for 200php. Works great, cost effective pa.

Thats a great idea. Problem is the headmuffs hurt my head and ears (I have relatively big ears) so I was looking for something a little more cushioned. Ok pa naman ako sa budget, basta not above 10k

ung headphones na ginagamit ni thomas lang doon sa dvd niya, alam ko may nagbebenta nun dito eh. hmmm i forgot what it its called.

ako para sa akin ok ang earphones with FOAMS...kasi ung earphones ineenclose ung ears mo tsaka ung foam very effective sa soundproofing...so very less sound coming from the outside...ok rin ung earplugs..

ito rin gamit ko.pero ewan ko lang kung may difference pero isolation headphones naman sakin.

meron naman sya space sa loob para sa ears mo at walang contact sa mismong ears but instead yung paligid nung ears, which is the head.
pero yun nga, nung dati mejo masakit sa ulo pero dahil bago pa sya noon kaya matigas pa, pag tumagal ok na yan.


pero plano ko bumili ng vic firtch iso headphones. yung may jack na rin para diretso ipod/ stereos na din.

I saw senheisser isolation headphones but they were damn expensive.
Also senheisser has a reputation of being easily broken.

sir mambo, i think you're confusing ISOLATION HEADPHONES with EARMUFFS.
headphones have speakers in them. EARMUFFS like the one you posted na kulay dilaw eh purely for ear protection. similar to the ones na ginagamit ng mga construction workers/noisy equipment handlers.

i have a similar one katulad sa pinost niyo na pic. kulay pula lang. sobrang nakakatulong pag gusto mo ayusin yung palo mo para mas maging malinis yung strokes. rinig lahat ng wrong hits. hehehe.

i also have the VF isolation headphones (the black one). nung una nga straining siya sa ulo parang na-squeeze yung bungo ko. pero nung katagalan ok na. very effective siya.

Ito sobrang effective para sa akin, pero pag-iipunan ko pa, since nakikigamit lang ako ngayon hehe.

Nope, around P4,000 lang ang EH150 sa pagkakaalam ko.

in-ear ka nlang bro, basta maganda ang fit sa tenga mo sure na isolated na yun, pero siyempre madidinig mo pa din naman sarili mo. kung low budget ok na yung sa a4tech, na mk-350 ata ung model.. hanap ka nlang sa mga computer stores, kung high budget naman dami sa tipidpc mga high-end na in-ears..

Magkano yung Vic Firth isolation? I've seen them in some stores, pero ngayon lang ako naging interested.
