Good day drummers! Anyone interested in a drum duel? We're planning to have a drum duel as part of our Dutdutan event this September.

Siguro first time pa lang mangyayari ang ganitong event, kelangan ko lang malaman kung maraming interesado and kung marami rin gustong mag participate, this will be open for all drummers. As of now nasa planning stage pa kami so i need ur feedback and suggestions since wala pa ngang ganitong event for drummers.

You came to the right place!

There's a lot of great pinoydrummers here @ Pinoydrums.

Just check these drummers from the last EB held at Bluelight Studios. I'm sure these guys are willing to play for those tatoo enthusiasts during the event(http://talk.philmusic.com/board/index.php/topic,181891.150.html).

Hopefully you can also ask each drums & percussion point-person from different music stores like JBMusic, Audiophile, Forerunner Music, Lyric, and Yupangco to have their drum endorsers play at your event. Im sure that would be one hell of a drum battle/duel.

I appreciate everything that you can contribute for this upcoming event. Sana maging sucessful ang event na to, and don't you worry guys we'll do everything para matuloy ito. Magka alaman na kung sino ang pinakamabangis at pinaka malupit pumalo.

as i said in an earlier message .. Set guidelines... reffer to recent drummers EB.... ask around for some drum kit sponsorship (marami dyan willing to lend a hand).....will it be a COntest of some sort? or just plain jamming... just inform people here..... lots of the guys are willing to set and share a stage with fellow drummers....I suggest have a big venue... kasi panay drum kit yan... that will occupy big spaces....

As of now we're still setting-up rules & guidelines, baka pwede nyo ko matulungan dito. This is going to be a contest, not just jammming.. So, magkakaroon ng audition. There will be eliminations before the grand battle on Dutudutan in September. This is a showdown, Sa tingin nyo gano katagal exhibition per drummer?

thanks arien. maybe 5 or 6 minutes is enough.. siguro sa simula sabay muna drummer with same groove mga 1 minute, then after that alternate na sila na tig 1 minute (4 performances each) kung anu man forte/genre na perforn nila, then pwede uli sila magsabay in the end with same groove uli. bahala na ung dalawang competitor kung anung groove sila mag sisimula. Sa tingin nyo?
