cant afford? maybe today its true but will not always be the case. it just takes time and patience.

+1, And di naman din kailangan biglaan bilhin lahat as a set. You can start with one then padagdag ng padagdag.

My crash setup now, 17 K Custom dark crash and 16 K custom fast crash. Currently looking also for 17 Hybrid crash.  :-D

first crash ba? if yes, dun ako sa a custom para mas bagay sa mas maraming genre.

ang tibay ng cymbal depende sa pumapalo...

What's your genre? Parehas ako meron nyan.
A custom projection- If you're into rock, pop even metal this is ok. bright sound w/ very good project.
17 K custom dark crash is my main crash up to now, Dark sounding yet very musical.
You can try them both as your crashes

Depends nalang siguro on your technique and how hard you hit.

Sir, feed back on Armand Zildjian series (14 hats, 16" Med-Thin Crash, & 20 Ride). Set sya, na may kasamang bag and book.

AFAIK, the Armand series was an attempt to recreate the sound of 60s A. Zildjians. Cymbal sets are rarely good, but I've heard that the Armand set is an exception.

I took my kit outside and got my mates to bring their amps and guitars for the new year celebration. I'm still using my ZHT Rock set and tama yung kaibigan ko na sobrang maninibago ako sa tunog nya pag outdoors. Those pies came out very musical, smooth, loud, & the hats were sizzling.
I asked one of my mates to play then I went out on the street and a neighbor approached and said that the kit sounded really good (di pa naman lasing si neighbor hehehe).  :-D

 >:D but I'm still thinking about getting that Armand set...  :nosebleed: GAS

Armand set is good. I'm not sure if Armand crashes would cut into metal stuffs.

AFAIK, if you want real LOUD, "pangwasak tenga" cymbals for metal, the Z series (Z3 na yata ngayon) are what you want.

mga bros.. 13.25 hybrid hats or 13 k/z special combination??
ganito kasi -- been using 14 new beats & im happy with it.. suits well with rock, & heavier type-of-deal music (nice on the studio/recording too!); pero i wanna go for a 13" - para ma-ibang size:) and for a totally opposite sound from the new beats..
guys please share your thoughts!! daghang salamat :)

you play rock and "heavier" stuff? go with the k/z. it will cut through the mix with ease compared to the hybrids. with that being said, i'll still take the hybrids over the k/z any day of the week. :-D

K/Z if you'll go for metal and heavier stuffs.
But def. I'll pick the Hybrid, IMO it's sound is very clean both live and studio/recording.
