ano po ba mas makapal don sa G2 clear at sa coated amb?

G2's are thicker than Ambassadors.  G2 is 2-ply.  Ambassador is 1-ply.

It's at the top floor, sa tapat mismo ng escalators.  It's a big store; you won't miss it.

last night I installed the ambassador over stock head on my 10".  Its got a thumpy sound.. parang "thug" at hindi yung "boin..inggg" ng G2.  It sustains forever kasi halos pantay ang reso at batter.  Medium tight tension.

Somehow, I miss the attack coming from the G2, kahit na parang plasticky tunog nya upclose.

So binalik ko nag G2.  I'll keep the amb in case my taste changes. hehe.

My current snare drum set-up:

On my 5.5x14" Tama Starclassic Maple:
batter = Evans Genera Dry coated
resonant = Evans Snare Side Glass 500 clear

On my 5x13" Tama Artwood Maple:
batter = Evans G1 coated
resonant = Evans Snare Side Hazy 300 clear[/color]

sir anung tunog ng starclassic maple mo very warm ba yung dating???

Yes bro it's warm, with a good amount of crack.  Its die-cast hoops are helpful in contributing to its sound, offering clear and penetrating rimclick and rimshot sounds.

With the Genera Dry batter, my snare drum's sound is predictably drier and more controlled.  But I wish to go back to a standard one-ply head for its next batter change (an Evans coated G1), in order to get a more open, more natural sound.

Yeah that would be good.  A good one-ply coated batter and a standard snare-side drumhead works most of the time.

yes, ok na ok ang pinstripe sa toms lalo na pag 4 to 6 plies of wood yung toms mo.
wala masyadong ring and buong-buo ang sound.

medyo may kamahalan, but i suggest subukan mo muna buying one of each para ma-try mo sa kit mo.
i try not to be biased sa brands, so go for it.
describe ko na lang ang sound ng pinstripes. focused, not too much ring, and maganda ang attack.  medyo versatile din ang tuning range ng pinstripes but that also depends on the drum.
wala pa kasi akong experience sa evans kaya i can't give a comparison.

paging drumster....:D

evans drumheads. tama.
sa audiophile meron. sa pagkaka-alam ko mas mahal sila ng konti sa remo. pero ok rin kasi durable and versatile naman ang mga heads na yan. i haven't tried one myself. just heard from my other drumming buddies.

pero you get what you pay for.
yung stock ko sa picolo ko, hindi pa rin palit.
evans g1 ata yun.. mas makapal sya kesa sa coated amb.... kaya din siguro mas mahal.

oks din sya tumunog.
