@nicoyow it can do mid gain drives that cleans fairly well with the volume knob, but as a standalone imo it will lack a bit feel wise, unless the amp is already in breakup or more.

thanks! My Soulfood gave up its last breath and I'm looking for better alternatives. My idea is using it as a clean boost then stack it with my other drives for heavier stuff. Amp on the other hand is FDR simulator.

oh sayang. I would also suggest boss bd-2 or boss od2/2r. There's also a barber half gainer in the classifieds.

I think good alternative din sila based on your need.

I have a BD-2 before and not quite happy with it. Sobra sya I think sa kelangan ko. Sold it after 2 gigs. Might consider the Barber as well. Thanks!

Don't rely on that, trust me, because it will fail you most probably on a situation you need it the most. Ganyan ginawa sa akin ng old OD pedal ko. Palitan na yan habang hindi ka pa pinapahiya.
