Don't get me wrong. It's nice that there are shows like this in Manila, but I guess, the next time, the organizers should warn people to bring earplugs. If you want to shatter your eardrums, PALMM is the best place to get it done. I really don't understand people can tolerate having a line array setup right in your face and blast it all the way to 120db, and still judge it as clear sounding. In other shows I've been to, exhibitor are only allowed to sound their system off for a max of 30 sec every hour. Some places, they will kill your power for an hour if you exceed the assigned SPL. Only here in the Philippines where you can find yourself deaf and still judge the sound as clear sounding.
My appeal to the organizers, have the balls to limit the levels. This is a trade show and people would want to discuss their technology and their products.
