thank you master Riff! concern ko lang talaga sa HHX baka masyadong lulubog dahil sa sobrang dark niya (according to some reviews lang na nabasa ko) . hehe! sad lang kasi pag tawag ko ulit sa cebu PP kanina, di pa sila sure kung may stock pa nung HHX RBDR! waaaaaahhhh!!

mas maganda yung projection ng HHX compared sa HH RBDR so hindi ma-drown yung sound ng HHX sa setup mo. kung gusto mo ng uber-bright naman go with the AA RBDR; closest sound nun is AA rock ride pero warm yung bell.

Mga kapwa Sabian users..

Recommend me a ride with good/great bell/ping, stick definition and wash (i do wash riding on my ride but i don't crash my ride.)..gamit ko kasi AAX stage ride eh bitin ako sa bell..lack of definition/character sa bell. Other than that wala na ako reklamo. Kung naayos lang sana ang bell nya..

Any suggestion sa ride except sa HHX Evo?

talagang na convince mo ako sa HHX master riff. hehehe! LF na nga ako HHX RBDR at HHX Groove Ride. maganda rin kasi ang wash at crashable talaga ung tunog ng groove ride. maraming salamat.

@ incubus_boy : yang RBDR killer ride yan! baka gusto mo rin mag hanap nyan. hehe!

wala na po bang lumalabas na sabian AA medium-heavy weight na ride? alin ang mas maganda ang stick definition yung medium lang ba or yung medium-heavy? thanks

kung along the lines of AA hanap mo, maganda in particular yung AA Rock Ride 21", current gig ride ko yun. swabe ang projection, wash, ping and bell. versatile pa kaya pwedeng pang-iba't ibang genre.

Kung HHX naman, go with the HHX groove ride. yung ang pinakaswabeng ride na nahiram ko at current GAS ko.

NOTE: may subtle difference sa sound overall ang 21" vs 20" na AA Rock Ride IMO kaya specific ako sa size na nasabi ko.

AA rock ride din yung isang gusto kong mapakinggan pero di ako sure kung maganda sa pandinig ko kapag nagwash riding na ako sa kanya..

HHX Groove ride is one of the things that I consider also.. Isa sa pag-gagamitan ko yung genre ni Daniel Adair and I checked he is using groove ride kaya naging isa yung sa mga tinitingnan ko..Eto din ba yung ride nya nung nasa 3 doors down pa sya?

Have you guys seen this series of Sabian cymbals? Nakita ko lang siya sa site nila kanina lang and I'm wondering if it is available here sa atin? By the way they said what the line is about, parang second-hand na brand new ang dating.

"The Sabian SR2 Series is a new concept for a cymbal series. These cymbals are recycled used/returned/refurbished product that Sabian received back through inventory swaps, etc, and has been factory refurbished. All of the cymbals are cast product, but there is no differentiation by series at all, so any cymbal could have started as an AA, AAX, HH, HHX, etc. The Sabian SR2 Series will only be designated by size and weight – For example the 16" SR2 cymbals will be labeled as 16” SR2 Thin, 16” SR2 Medium, or 16” SR2 Heavy."

launched ito in the US mga 2009 and it was a test in the market. i don't know if nag succeed ba or available na worldwide ung SR2s. im sure they will still sound good considering they are all cast cymbals made by sabian.

naka kita na ko nito, yung mga stamps nya at lathing wala na, pero chambahan nalang ito pero ok sya kung puedeng pumili kasi mataas na mga line ng sabian yan, mga AA pataas yung mga models.

Ofcourse, malaki talaga matitipid mo if 2nd hand na cymbals bibilhin mo. But make sure na walang damages like cracks/dents/keyholes (or if you're particular with the faded logos). Tyaga tyaga lang sa classified ads natin marami dyan. Napapabili lang ako ng brand new (usually by order sa US) kapag yung particular model na hinahanap ko ay hindi available dito sa pinas, or if ever man meron, sobrang kakaunti lang.

Mas okey ang 2nd hand basta ma-alaga ang unang owner nito. Check mo na din kung may warping... ilapat mo sa flat surface tapos silipin mo kung pantay pa sya.
