nung last week maliliit palang, i assumed it was from the non-stop wind/rain nung dumaan yung dalawang bagyo

sh** nakakainis, di na masalba yung cover so i ended up buying a thicker one last wednesday

but lo, kaninang umaga, buti makapal yung cover, but obviously meron nanamang scratch marks ng cat claws :(

successful yung rewiring / engine tuck ng oto ko haha modern na din ang fusebox at relay system, the problem is nakatago lahat ng alambre ang hirap kung sakaling magkakaproblema. but it's all cool now, i just need a new a/c compressor at busted na daw yung akin.

i think they got the message. di na sila ngayon tumatambay sa car namin.
but i think its more because yung nag-fofoster sa kanilang kapitbahay namin eh lumipat na ng village. whew

actually it is required for safety purposes.

ang problema yung reasoning nila behind the idea is nakakasira daw ng brakes, engine and tranny kapag nakababad ka sa brake during lengthy stops, saka magastos daw sa gas.
nakakapikon lang na hindi nila alam ang tungkol sa Torque Converters and spout these non-sense about fuel consumption and brake wear

its just really an advise that comes from drivers who have grown very accustomed to their stick shifts (manual transmissions)

actually i advise drivers to place their a/t cars in P when stopped in traffic - this way hindi aatras o aabante agad even if the car is on a slope, coupled with your foot on the brakes.

problem lang that i can see is that if the car is in D and you're stopping it with the brakes, you'll probably raise the temperature of the a/t fluid.

pag manual lang naman dapat naka neutral pag naka tigil than depressing the clutch. kasi kung naka depress lang, masusunog yung clutch mo against the smooth plate around the pressure plate. also in cable driven clutches, anlaking stress binibigay mo dun sa stuff na stopper ng clutch cable (the one near the transmission) i know from experience because i tore one apart literally, but not because i depress the pedal in traffic  :-D

pag hydraulic clutch naman pag nakatapak ka, the clutch fluid heats up , baka lumusot pa yung master cylinder pag tagal.

@ paps dennis

sanden 508 akin. but it's big and heavy, i am looking to replace that with something smaller, like a 505. pero baka mag hold out ako ng konti pa, ipon for a whole new ac system.

i think switching to neutral is the way to go kasi pag park may risk na mali ang gear na balikan pag nag-go na. unlike neutral, you dont need to push the button of the shifter. you just slide it to D or N.

Parang I have read somewhere na hindi dapat naka P if naka stop ka lang sa traffic kasi baba yung temp masyado ng torque converter? tama ba hehe not sure eh pero I remember reading an article about it na dapat nasa N talga and correct may possibility na ma i shift mo ng reverse. yung honda namin dati PRND1D2

I always shift to neutral when on a full stop with the A/T, plus e brake of course.

that i'm not exactly certain paps, pero when i was using an friend's loaned car for a recent weekend trip (a/t jazz) i kept the transmission in park pag nakatigil sa

ako naman i don't advance the ignition timing, i actually like it retarded by a few degrees.

but right now, apart sa general rewire job ni aska, i need to pool my cash to get the engine overhauled. oil! oil everywhere!!!

pwedeng pwede sir, best if you do it in sync pag baba ng rpms na mag match sila. done correctly, there will be a
seamless transition between gears kahit naka tapak ka.
