guys may harmful effect ba kung nag babad ka sa 1st gear tapos mabilis na takbo mo like 40kph or what?

Aware naman ako dito na galit na makina need na itaas kaso aminin ko may pag ka ricer ako minsan binababad ko sa 1st gear saka ko bibilisan para mas malakas tunog nung muffler / ricer exhaust.. pero minsan ko lang naman gawin pag natutuwa lang ako.

no problem, at the cost of added wear to your engine.

kung totoong walang safety or shift locks, mejo questionable nga talaga ang design nito for me. 2 cents lang.

even if wala nga shifter lock that is actuated via the brake pedal, AWARENESS is key.

you're the designated driver of the vehicle. the moment you touch the wheel, you should be accountable for all your actions, and that includes being able to operate the vehicle correctly and with FULL CONTROL over it.

problema sa karamihan ng nagmamaneho ngayon e kundi inadequate talaga ang driving at decision making skills, e sobrang clueless. i don't expect everyone to be the super savvy car guy nor become a keiichi tsuchiya, but at least have proper knowledge of motor vehicle operation and traffic laws / safety.


i still vote for driver error until proven conclusively that mitsubishi's design is inherently flawed via controlled testing.

what if the new feature is just their way of answering to all the driver errors?

parang unfair naman yatang dinagdag na nga nila yung feature to keep the driver/passengers safe pero ibibintang pa rin sa kanila yung pagkakamali?

true that, driver error maybe a possibility. pero you cant discount the fact that it is an unsafe design. kung walang lock for safety, a simple nudge can move your gears from Park to Drive. madaling sabihing awareness paps, pero yun na nga ang problem eh, karamihan sa montero owners, mayayaman na noob drivers, taposa ng driver nila, sanay sa Manual, or sanay sa traditional matic na kailangan may brake.

if the shifter has a lock, mas maiiwasan yung situation eh. 2 cents lang.
hahaha ako binibiyak ko muna yung wetpaks para makita kung may yellow thingy hahahaha

Sa second gear ko ginagawa. Yung akin has low end torque sa 2nd, useable hanggang 80kph. with that pwede nako dumiretso sa 5th hehe.

kung hindi naman meant for that kind of application, there is no use to redline a stock engine. karamihan naman ng street, stock engines
are made with low end torque in mind, past a certain rpm nagsasayang na lang ng gasolina.

the logic is simple - awareness + reasonable amount of skill. if the "drivers" do not have this, do not issue a license. i would agree
na kakaiba yung system ng montero (if it is legit na ganyan nga) compared to ALL automatics i'd seen thus far, pero if people just
put their mind into what they are doing (driving PROPERLY) e maiiwasan ito. i mean hell, i used a 2010 iVTEC Fit na pwede is shift from
S to D2 or D1 without having to step on the brake pedal and while running. di naman ako naaksidente nor did I have SUA.

i am not arguing that all drivers become spawns of Ayrton Senna, but be more aware of their vehicle, put some more attention behind the wheel,
develop skill as a driver. in the end, buhay niya, buhay ng pasahero at buhay ng tao na potentially babangain niya ang nakasalalay.

hindi ko rin maintindihan yun.. alam ko sa matic may accelerator talaga na ginagamit para sa overtaking.. pero yun nalaman ko na sa montero nakalink daw yun sa isang computer box.. eh dun na sila nagtuturuan  <_<

hatchback type ba ang hanap mo sir o sedan? kung looks ang pag-uusapan, maganda ang rio, parang sports car ang itsura ng interior pero mukhang mahal din.

I agree.. kung icocompare mo daw kasi ang compressor at evaporator ng Nissan eh mas malaki daw.

Sabi nga ng mga taxi driver pag bumili ka ng Nissan eh yung AIRCON daw talaga yung binibili mo at hindi yung kotse kasi freebie lang daw talaga yung kotse.

actually dharz hindi pa ako nakakapag drive ng nissan so I cant vouch for its mechanical reliability.. pero pag sa AIRCON? MISMO ako sa nissan!

maraming instances na nung wala pa akong kotse na madalas akong pumili ng mga bagong vios na taxi before (they call that vios "batman" I dunno why) pag papasok ako ng office.. around summer yun ilang beses akong nakakuha ng vios taxi na mukhang bago talaga pero di ko maintindihan bakit di kinakaya ng aircon nya yung summer heat.. kahit pati yung driver nagrereklamo na rin "ser pasensya na, sobrang init talaga di kinakaya ng aircon"

then one rush hour morning sobrang dami kong kaagaw na pumapara ng taxi.. may dumating na lumang Nissan Sentra taxi.. halatang luma na talaga kasi yung bumper nya sa likod may alambre na para di siguro malaglag.. hindi sya pinapara nung mga ibang naghihintay kahit sya na yung kusang nagbabagal pa magsakay, ayoko rin sanang parahin kasi mukhang hindi magiging comfortable yung byahe ko dahil sobrang init talaga.. pero since nagmamadali ako pinara ko na.. nagulat ako pagbukas ko palang ng pinto para sabihin sa driver kung saan ako eh naramdaman ko na agad yung lamig ng aircon nya.

sakay agad ako.. kahit around 11am na nun kasagsagan ng init eh nag enjoy ako sa lamig nung aircon.. poging pogi akong dumating sa opisina kasi di ako pinagpapawisan unlike nung nagvivios taxi ako eh ramdam ko yung pawis sa likod ko tuwing bababa na ako.

binati ko kay manong driver yung aircon nya kasi nga malamig.. ang sabi nya sakin mas nauuna pa daw nasisira yung makina ng nissan kesa sa aircon system nya LOL.

tapos doon ako naka-pwesto sa pinaka-likod. saka lang siya lumamig nung
nabawasan ng 5 'yung pasahero. siguro kulang lang sa freon o kaya kailangan nang magpalinis ng aircon.

naku. medyo nakaka-relate na rin ang pilipinas sa klima dyan sa saudi.
mas maigi siguro na bumisita ka sa pinaka-malapit na car dealership dyan. since first choice mo ay Kia, 'yun na 'yung una mong puntahan.
mas maganda talaga pag personal mong mae-experience 'yung feel ng ride, lalo na't comfort ang first consideration mo sir.
balitaan mo kami sir kung ano ang resulta ng test drive mo sa Kia Rio.  :-D

ang problema dito sa Urvan ay walang blower assembly para sa passengers sa likod. nagrerely lang kayo dun sa blower na nakainstall sa likod ng driver, 2nd passenger row.

ang ginagawa nung ibang owners ay bumibili ng blower/fan assembly na luma at galing sa ibang sasakyan at isasalpak sa 3rd passenger row para diretso buga ng hangin hanggang dulo.

yung 2014 vios din ng biyenan ko hindi lamigin at parang hindi binigyan ng consideration ng design/engineering yung airflow sa loob. pag mid na yung setting ng aircon, hindi pa rin umaabot sa mga pasahero sa likod.

ang downside daw ng nissan, according to a taxi driver i once chatted with, ay yung parts. mahal ang parts ng nissan dahil sobrang rare ng third party parts nya. ang option mo lang ay original nissan parts. mahal pero long lasting.

actually, if i am to buy a new car and if i have the budget, id go for a nissan. id also go for the original parts to ensure that it fits perfectly.

nagtataka lang ako, walang micro category ang nissan. honda already came up with the brio, pero ang nissan wala pa rin.

Plus one sa lahat ng sinabi mo. I own a 2007 Nissan Xtrail 250X. buhay na buhay pa at never uminit ang aircon. intense lamig. first setting palang, nagrereklamo na mga pasahero sa likod dahil sa lamig.

mahal ang parts, yes. pero imho, mas okay na sa Nissan ka na mismo kumuha ng parts derecho kesa sumugal sa mga surplus/importers/used na piyesa.

i.e., a busted alternator for my car cost me 50k Bnew. masakit, pero nung napalitan na yung alternator, parang bago nanaman yung kotse ko. wala parin akong narramdaman or naririnig na iba. good as new kumbaga.

kung amgpapalit ako, malamang Nissan Xtrail ulit. napakasarap lang kasi talaga I drive. lakas lang sa gas </3

bumisita ako ng mga used cars na binebenta online. nissan lahat, mga early 90's model na lec at eccs. superior aircon! mabilis lumamig at malamig agad kahit naka idle lang.

may isa lang pumalya, 98 na super saloon ex. 75% cosmetics. medyo matagal lumamig at di pa ganun kalamig nung tinodo. sabi nung caretaker, baligtad daw yung tubo nung binaklas, nilinis at inassemble nung mekaniko. nagyeyelo yung tubing. kaya pala nilinis yung aircon(at buong makina) eh nalubog na pala sa baha. ayaw pang umamin nung caretaker.
