My SIOCHI 2x12 cab ALA Marshall 1936 (PICS inside)
« on: August 15, 2010, 02:00:22 PM »
Then I went straight to Sir George's house to install it. I'm very happy with the outcome.

I asked Sir George to take pictures along the process of building the cab so that anyone who would like to have his cab built by him will be confident that it will be professionally done.

Here is the contact numbers of Sir George Siochi.
mobile: 09174497172
landline: 8216793

By the way, the cab is loaded with 2 Celestion G12T-75. It can used in mono (8 ohms) or stereo (16 ohms) with the use of special cables that Sir George built. He used Neutrik speak-on jack and high quality cables and plugs.

I have a lot to say and am very excited but I don't want to bore you so here are the pics and ENJOY.

Finger joints

Recessed routing for the side handles

Glueing the wooden braces

Almost there...

Routing the radius sides

Sanding

Spray painting the inside of the cab...

the baffle

Sir George himself putting glues to the cab

Preparing the tolex for glueing

Glueing the tolex

Cutting the excess.

After the tolexing..

Stapling the tolex to the back cover.

Stapling the tolex to the cab.

Stapling the grill cloth to the baffle.

Stapled grill cloth.

Installing the corners. (Screws are stainless so no rusting)

Polishing the surface

Finished project
Front

Side view (Take note: side handles are metals not like the usual plastic handles and are recessed)

Back (cab can be open or closed-back)

Casters with lock

The SIOCHI logo.

Close up of the grill cloth, white piping and a corner.

The cables (one for mono operation and the other one for stereo).

YAHUUU!!!! RAK EN ROL NA!!!

More angled pics.

Thanks sa mga comments. The cab looks better in person. When I first saw it, napa "WOW" ako. Sulit ang gastos at pagod. I also want to commend Sir George for a job well done. He's also a very down-to-earth and a nice guy. As for the price of the cab, it's cheap compared to the professional quality and workmanship. I will PM na lang na lang you guys who are asking for the price. By the way, the speakers and the Marshall genuine corners are not included in the price.

How bout the handles sir, is it included sa price? Nagpa quote din kasi ako for a 4x12, and your right, very reasonable yung price nya, against the quality your paying for.

For those asking for the price, paki pm na lang sina bro Geno, joesat and plugzzzz. I already told them.

Bro alvinratsim, the metal side handles are already included in the price. I suggest you drop by at his house so you can discuss the details more.

Take note bro sa mga nag pa pm ng price na relative to sa specs ng pagagawa nyo. The price he will quote  may be different depending on the current market value and the availability of the materials, size of the cab, the additional features you would like to be done, etc. It will also possible also, even though the specs is similar to mine may be different in price. The best is talk to him personally so you can discuss in details what you want and what he have and so on.

Oo nga pala, the cable and the plug used for the stereo operation of the cab ARE NOT included in the quoted price.

Thank again sa mga nag comment. Sir George is THE MAN!!!

How long did the build take?

Actually mid July yata ako nag start magpagawa but because of the typhoon that came which resulted in blackouts in Luzon and the arrival and pickup of the Marshall genuine corners I ordered through bro spankyrigor, kaya last Saturday lang natapos completely. 1-2 weeks, I think kaya matapos basta available lahat ng materials.

Marine Ply?  I don't know of any good sounding cabinet made of Marine Ply. And I am not too sure that it will outlast us.
