Get a Jekyll and Hyde and you get a bonus distortion channel. And that would cost you $130.

P6.5K ang TS9 and P9.1k ang TS-808 sa Audiophile. the last time i checked, may stocks pa nito sa Festival Mall branch. i sold my TS9 for P4k, 9/10 paint, 10/10 working. i bought my TS-808 from a co-forumite for P6.5k :)

pareng BAMF, yung stock TS7 parang unnaturally processed and less punchy ang output as compared to a stock TS9 or TS-808. i did an A/B din between a stock TS9 and TS-808 and may slight difference sa warmth ng tone (mas maganda yung mid-hump tone ng 808). pero yung TS7 na modded mo eh galit na galit e, screamer talaga kaya ayos hehe.. ano pa bang magagalaw sa stock TS-808 to improve the output tone (aside from the usual JRC4558 non-linearity issue)?

magkano ba yung bagong TS7 dito? since we have a friendly neighborhood modder in Jobet naman, so i guess the TS7 + BAMF mod combo is the most economical way to get a good TS pedal here. but if i were to buy now, i'd look for a second-hand TS9 then have it modded to 808 specs. mas matibay kasi yung casing (for long-term usage) and maporma kahit papaano :)

I was just looking at AudiopHile's website and found out these prices:

TS-7 - P2,610
TS808 - P9,170
TS9 - P6,660

My question is how do differ from one another? How come the TS808 is expensive? How's the sound of Ibanez re-Issue pedals compared to Boss' SD-2? I hope someone can enlighten me with this... I'm planning to go botique na kasi.

Believe it or not, internally, the TS7 is very well made. I guess its the China thing huh ? Combined with the "Prestige Pricing" tactics of Ibanez.

Used to have a TS7.  The stock version was a tad warmer than the TS9 (A/Bd them) but an 808 mod made it more transparent.  But for some reason, it became more prone to noise.  Dunno why.  The TS7 in itself is a good pedal not to mention it has a HOT mode.

Ayus, best buy di ba bro?!

Guys, you should look into the Route 66 - it's a TS808 and a vintage style Ross/DynaComp compressor in one pedal for approx $130 - cheaper than a bnew TS808 locally!

Nah. They share the same basic architecture, one OP-AMP stage with clip diodes in the feedback loop and one "buffer" opamp stage. Some values are different of course (otherwise why brand them differently ? :D)

The TS7 even has an edge up on the TS9 and TS808 as it sports two more "extra" transistors that the 9 or 808 don't have and this is what's used for the "hot" channel.

Why, circuit wise, the only difference of a 9 to a 808 are two resistors (total part cost : P0.50) and of course the chip. But you can bring a 9 to 808 on a "close enough" basis just by changing those two resistors.
