dude.. i just got word..

may lazer surgery d2 sa Baguio..

they use lazer to cut metals including cast and sheet cymbals

medyo mahal nga lng..

its 114php per second...

they can also recover broken/cracked cymbals 500php/inch

any cymbal you name it.. cast or sheet...

Gitarista po ako, pero nagpapatanong lang ang kaibigan kong drummer (hindi kasi siya mahilig mag-internet).

Meron daw kasi siyang mga lumang cymbals na may cracks na sa edges at gusto niya sanang patabasan para gawing "splash".

Saan kaya pwede at magkano?

we cut cymbals..

114 php per second... its lazer cutting...

want to mold broken cymbals... 239php per inch...

curious lang, gano naman ilang inches naman kayang putulin in 1 second?

let d = desired cymbal diameter
s = cutting speed; inches per second

cost of laser cutting = ((3.1416 * d) / s) * 114

is cost of laser cutting > price of new cymbal?

hi diadem, i have this 20 A Med Thin Crash that was returned to me for refund after 3 hours from selling it coz of a hairline crack. I didnt notice it at that time but what the hell water under the bridge, so can we mend like you say you can? and can it be spankin clean like nothin happened?

possible... pero yung hairline crack ni bangbus pede yan... aabot ka ng less than 500php...

lets say if you cut an 18" into a 16" = aabot ka ng 20-25sec yun.. papaayos ko pa ung thin crash ko.. may hairline crack din pero nasa bell part... update ko kau kung kelan ko cya makukuha so far nandun na cya sa shop for reconstruction

ako nagpaputol ng 18inch na crashride na planet z, medyo nasa 1 inch na ung crack nya at mga 3 magkakalayo kaya pinabilog ko ulit, mga nasa 17inch na un. ginawa kong crash, aus na ung tunog compare sa dati na may mga crack. un lang.. post ako ng pic next time

may mga cutters sila dun e...pero nde ko sure kung maganda cut nila pag circular ang shape...

i just wanna ask if there are still anything my cousin can do with his cymbal that has a crack/hairline, is there any ways that he can still prolong the cymbal life? he plays pop nman but his brother accidentally sat on the bag,, thank you in advance for your advice.

sa tingin ko pwede rin.. kc pag nahahampas yan ng tuloy2 baka humaba pa and lumaki ung crack, pag nangyari un, mas papangit ung tunog nun.. try mo magdrill ng hole sa dulo ng crack as wax_static said.. malay mo humaba pa buhay ng cymbal mo.. hehe

pag nalagyan mo na ng hole, i suggest pagipunan mo narin para mapalitan na, as stated by skunkyfunk kasi di narin yan tatagal.. tama naman sila parehas e.. hehe

yung tunog nya ok pa naman.. wala pa naman noticable difference sa sound.. acceptable pa...

i had my paiste 505 heavy crash drilled... almost 1 1/2 years na and still nagagamit ko pa. and the tunog?... ok pa rin naman... hehehehehe

pero nag iipon na ko para sa bagong cymbals...
