Has anybody here tried using kamagong for fretboards? I'm having a project with mike and i'm choosing either a rosewood or a kamagong fretboard.
From what i've read kamagong is related to ebony right?
But my fear is that it may be too brittle and may crack eventually. The reason i say this is because.........
i used to be addicted to practicing nunchucks when i was a kid( Don't ask) and
madalas nababasag sya pag na luma na (even though i don't hit anything).
Walang tatawa ha?
Just making sure my fears are illogical. ![tongue :-P](http://talk.philmusic.com/Smileys/default/grimace.png)
Hi bro. I've had the chance to try two guitars with Kamagong boards which were sourced out locally (I think). One is my brother's custom Harana acoustic, and the other is a strat that team micsis converted to have a kamagong (ebony) board.
I can't say though about their properties when aging, but they do look good. Hahaha! Aesthetics lang. :p
Anyway, ako rin baka may project with sir mike which will involve a kamagong board. Sometime in the not so distant future.
