And dude, FYI lang, kaya nagagalit kami sa kanila kasi nagfi-feeling sila na rock pero show band naman sila. Ganon lang kasimple yun.

Well last year dami nilang haters at first album nila and I heard marami ring nang-down sa music nila, binato pa yata sila sa gigs or sinigawang jologs..(not sure bout this nabasa ko lang dito) And the hate threads started popping here.

Fast forward to know and they have a 2nd album and a 50 city tour date. So basically kahit ilang hate threads dito they dont care what you say.
They are gonna do what they beleive is the right thing to do and that is to rock even if it aint your brand of rock.

They are trying to make a living here, put food on the table and in the process doing something they love. Do you think they like it? Maybe...maybe not. Im sure they can rock out and give us a decent album with a lot of integrity but I think their not gonna be that successful.

They are not liked by people who know the deal and they know that but they still push thru with what they want to do and for that you gotta give em credit.

i dont really think theyre worth classifying under the show band genre. show bands are usually bands who play at shakeys, cowboy grill. variety ang tugtugan ng show bands. pogi band lang sila pwede i classify. mga pa cute!  :twisted:

show bands ba yung mga iniinvite (for example nung js prom namin dati sa brown villa) tapos kinakanta lahat ng genre...kung ano uso...2003 nun eh...mga kinanta nila songs ni nelly and eminem...wala atang rock ... ayun...di cguro showband ang cue,cu,kuyu...anu un??

opinion ko sa show band yung mga robot na sumusunod sa mga tumutugtog sa radyo na kahit matagal na sumikat sa mga musikero eh nahuhuli nilang tugtugin...one more thing. Porke may regular gigs lang sila eh kala mo kung sila na ang pinakasikat na mga banda sa pilipinas. Believe me, it's like that here...

it's not that i'm dissin' show band and stuff... pinanggalingan ko rin yan eh. Kaso nga lang i didn't sell out.

laftrip tong thread na to ah!!! pero sa totoo lang, etong mga bandang to ang bumubuo ng genre dito sa pinas... mapa pop, pakyut, jologs, showband, r&b, ROCK, alternative, world, etc... naiinis ako sa cueshe pero rinerespeto ko sila as an artist... mapa mababaw man yung lyrics at baduy ang tunog at lalo na yun "ULAN" na video eh artist pa rin sila.. sellout nga... sana lang gumawa sila ng kanta na kung sino man talaga sila... si mayer isang beses lang nag sellout eh... pero kung parati eh ibang usapan na yun... SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA SELLOUT... kung mapapansin niyo, ibang kanta, may hidden "SELLOUT MELODY" rin pero tinatakpan lang ng mabigat or rick-ish sound... pero sana sibakin nila yung epal dun.. pakyut talaga eh... ok na silang 4 eh... hahaha! yun lang po! BAW!!!

showband? mymp :) yata

yung makikita mo sa mga pangkonyo na bars. tpos tinutugtog yung mga request ng tao, at mga kantang patok. hindi lang pop r&b jazz kahit rock. bsta cover songs yun na yun.

but theres somthing bout showbands that is really good.. you get 2 know how to play more songs :) songs of other bands. at minsan kapag pinatugtog mo sa kanila alam talaga nila. one time nag request ako stevie ray vaughan. pride and joy, natipa. at alam lyrics. :) haha nakakatuwa.
ang ayoko lng sa showbands eh parang robot nga minsan. pero yun lang yun. di naman porket showband ka gay ka na e. hehe. :) pagiisip lng ng tao yun. minsan mga posers gnun :) "showband? yuck gay yan" - i heard this one from a poser i knew. natawa ako. sabi ko sa sarili ko, "tsktsk ... yabang lang ah." e kung tumugtog nga kayo sabit sabit eh :) hehe

He did the trojan effect though. Get in first, give em what they want then BAM this is what i really want to do attitude :lol: first album was pure sell-out. Compare that too his newer ones and its a diferent story.
