Whitey!  See what you did...

I agree.  Time to make some history.  See you guys at rehearsals.  And for those who'd like to see what all these seventeen pages have culminated into so far, see you at Handlebar, Polaris Street, Makati on Friday, September 22nd.    :)

You only have the first chapter here. If you ever do the book you need far more information. Actually this should have stopped pages ago. All good things must come to an end. As Walton senior would say " Goodnight John boy".

actually while blue rats is continuing its saga...im just waiting in the wings...keeping myself busy w/work and playing in my bedroom. woodshedding and writing songs :D

im trying to get  my friends together to jam. so that maybe we could come up with something that would be worthy of the legacy that blue rats created. :)

who knows d ba? kahit local scene lang cguro dito matugtugan ko, masaya na ako e.... 8)

when i come home sana maka jam tayo...hopefully next year

meanwhile :

dyanibee, bb , lefty, whitey, miguel, 3 beers, joe, tricie , dd and rasgo....see you in other philmusic forums :)

It's only been a few days since winding down and since silence befell this thread, but here's a little bit of possible history in the making.....

.....Ex-Rat & co-founder 3beers is on a comeback trail with the Rats and is sitting in with the band for an "emergency" gig at Conspiracy Café two days from now on Tuesday, 19 September. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Come check it out and see what songs he remembers....

Joe, thanks for blowing my cover and career as a bank robber. Truth is I'm wanted in more than 16 cities worldwide by Interpol, CIA, Ml6 and KAOS.
Have you taken over for Maxwell Smart who cudnt find a phone booth anymore leading to HQ, & past away? Have you tried using the cone of silence for gigs? Or the smart shoe-phone?

Hey Chief, 3beers is sitting in with us tonight. We will now see whether he NEEDS the cone of silence after 7 years or so of silence.

when i was in the band there were....wont divulge any because i dont feel obliged...id rather remember the happy moments.

there are two particular things that hit close to home that made me sad.

the loss of two great musicians...and two great friends of ours.backread for more info....

edmund fortuno back in 2000....and norman belardo whose death i wouldn't have knowned if i didn't start this thread---because ive been away for a year now.

A righteous gig last night at Handlebar.

• No doubt about it: 3beers is back! That slide sounded like it never took a 7-year break. The dude was on fire in the first set.

• lefty was a greasy bolt of lightning -- true rockstar. That Marshall never really knew what hit it -- probably needs an overhaul after lefty's les paul assault. Must have been the mojo from the paisley shirt.

• dopedeeva and kim were hot  "Motorcycle Mamas". Wow.

• mang vic rocked -- scary drum solo on "Elizabeth Reed".

• Dyanibee laid it down good and heavy.

• even the special guest who wanted us to "The Greatest Love of All" had fun despite our refusing to play her song.

'til the next time      8)

My goodness, BB... Don't you ever sleep!?   :o   Yes, last night was good... All the elements of a great gig were there.  A wild (and forgiving) crowd, well-rehearsed hands, a confident groove and LOTS of tequila, bourbon shots and beer.    Good job, guys.  :)

Crawled back home past 4am -- chowed down pa with dopedeeva, whitey, and 3beers after the gig. We were in stitches about "the greatest love of all" kasi.
