Re: lazer drum double pedals , what you say guys???
« Reply #125 on: December 26, 2009, 05:27:51 AM »
i bought one months ago and i must say na wag kayong bibili nito kahit kailan (super wrong move).

i'm selling mine now (both as a single pedal). hindi kaya ng konsensya ko na ibenta siya as a double pedal. in short, pangit.

*btw, hindi pangit yung mismong pedals. usually ang main problem sa generic double pedals ay yung rod na nagko-connect sa dalawang pedal (based from my observation).

I had a chance to check out their hardware, mukha naman matibay. Parang heavy duty na hardware ng Gibraltar (9000 series ata yun). Pero nun binuhat ko, parang magaan in relation to their bulk. It makes me think they used low quality metals for their gear. Pero mura ah, around 3K for snare stand and 2K for the straight stand.

1. overpriced
2. hindi 100% maple shells
3. decent hardware
4. decent finish
5. sound? hindi pwede itest e pero maganda naman construction kaya siguro maayos naman tunog
6. overpriced

kung presyo sana nila slightly above the high end fernandos, panalo na. kaya lang tinapatan nila price ng gretsch catalina at tama superstars e - the lazers are totally outclassed

Lazer Drums...(Insights / Review / Price Comparison)
« Reply #143 on: November 28, 2010, 09:30:05 PM »
To all Expert drummers:

I'm a music coordinator sa Church namin (but not a drummer - Bassist)... Were planning to replace our drumset, due to lack of budget we could not purchase an expensive and branded drumset...

I've seen a Lazer drumset online, the problem is hindi ko alam kung magkano? Any Drummers here that could give me an advice kung magkano / ayos ba performance (good sound) comparing sa mga entry level na branded drumsets..

TIA.... :? :? :?

with rack na ba yung 30K? afaik hindi pa kasama yung rack, but if ever it's a steal for that price. meron din dito sa lazer alabang, maple naman daw. ok yung sound, nice punch specially from the kick. just change the heads according to your sound preference para swabe talaga. hardware's pretty good too. overall 8.5/10 IMO. sa basix set naman, this could help out!

Basix drums: has anyone ever tried/owned it?

personally, I'd choose the lazer set (given the choices there hehe) swabe yung sizes, maple shells, pati yung hardware. but if I were you, ipon ka pa ng konti since bibili ka din naman, yung built to last na talaga at maganda yung resale value. madami magandang sets ngayon like Audiophile's TAMA Superstar, JB Music's Ludwig EPIC or Gretsch Catalina Maple sets, Lyric's PDP CX and X7 sets lalo na yung sa Music Source's High end Mapex sets like the Saturn Series (FTW) to name a few.. patience is a virtue!
