Mga chong next year tayo start ng jamming napag-usapan namin ni Marzi na baka puros Silverchair na songs na muna ang tugtugin, hehehe.

So, practice kayo ng mga Silverchair songs na from the 1st and 2nd albums lang. (Frogstomp and Freakshow).

Tapos next year, sched na tayo ng jam!

pa-share lang: once upon a time during the early 90s i spent a whole month of my life deciphering and mastering the drums of ten and another month dedicated only to dirt album. tagal noh, 1 month to master an album, eh kasi high schooler pa lang ako nung time na yun and tuwing dismissal and weekends lang nakaka jam sa house and yes slow learner ako. hehe. most drummers went to lessons to learn rudiments and double pedaling, I, on the other hand, went home to jam to PJ and AIC thats why my style of playing and kit arrangement are heavily influenced by Dave Abbruzzese ane Sean Kinney. at that time, i just grabbed every PJ and AIC tapes, cds, vhs so that i could perfect my cover.

fave songs from PearlJ: state of love and trust, Go, Porch, Betterman, Evenflow.

fave songs from AliceIC: would, angry chair, heaven beside, i stay away.

btw, alice in chains have have been fronted by various individuals like the vocalist of velvet revolver, phil anselmo, and william duval. but no one really comes close to layne's voice

ps: what about mudhoney, madseason, dinosaur jr, silverchair, jerry cantrell, pigeonhed, mother love bone, etc?

bro fan din ako ni dave abbruzzese...lalo na yung mga live concert na albums nila...ang galing niya talaga...sa kanya ako natuto ng plumming...but back then di ko alam na he was a session drummer...so with that being said...parang minus astig points kasi he was playing in a grunge / i don't give a f*** band...( that was my way of thinking before nung high school ako...) iba na ngayon..hehehe...

pero overall...when it comes to attitude sa pagpalo...dave grohl...hands down ako...his drumming explains the whole genre...hindi siya flashy...pero he hits the head of his kit as hard as he can...and it just hits you right on the chest...pero kahit mulupet talaga yung ibang drummer ng genre na un...and hirap pa ring i cover nung pagpalo niya..yes merong may kayang kopyahin yung pattern pero ung "arrive ng palo"?...i doubt it...(mga tol i can only speak for myself...)

kudos sa nagsimula ng thread na toh...

fan din ako ng silverchair at ng melvins...

Sa lahat ng naging drummer ng Pearl Jam si Dave Abbruzzese talaga ang pinaka-gusto ko, pinaka-ayaw ko si Matt Cameron. Iba talaga ang mga palo ni Abbruzzese eh, ewan ko ba, kahit yung sa Unplugged nila ang lupit pa din eh. 'Di ako drummer pero na-appreciate ko talaga yung drumming skills nya lalo dun sa mga songs sa VS like Go, Animal, Glorified G & W.M.A.

ika nga ni Kurt Cobain, nakita niya kay Dave Grohl yung talagang drummer na hinahanap niya. Ang sarap niyang pumalo.

mismo. Ang lupit ng mga palo sa VS. Im not a drummer (just know the basic stuffs) pero mapapa wow ka sa mga palo ni Dave dun. Halos lahat malulupit (lalo na W.M.A. ilang tracks daw ang ginawa niya dun, mga percussions etc...) Fave ko rin sa mga palo niya yung Rats at Daughter, aside sa mga na mention mo na...

Well, gusto ko din si Matt Cameron as a drummer of Soundgarden and sa Wellwater Conspiracy. hindi ko lang talaga sya feel as a drummer for PJ, lalo yung version ng drums nya sa mga Ten and VS na songs.

How about Jack Irons? Mejo ok din naman sya ah, na-elibs ako sa kanya dun sa drums ng Given to Fly (Man, I love that song!).
