respeto po sa grunge era..i liked the era.. repect to all grunge bands: mudhoney,tad,mother love bone,temple of the dog,soundgarden,smashing pumpkins (though they are not really grunge but only got the attention during the grunge era),pj,AIC,the melvins,sonic youth,nirvana,stp,candlebox(who's not grunge by the way but got the attention that time) etc... that ive forgotten already...although pj once claimed that they were not grunge and no genre such as grunge,it was the music media who labeled these bands as grunge..so we call it grunge just to separate the others from the others..and you can still hear their voices on some of the bands that evolved today...and why not...after music is a cycle...it can be recycled..for me there is only two types of music: good music and bad music...hahahaha...respect guys..

Nirvana hands down.. i remember crying my eyes out when i heard the news of Kurt's death. i'm a big fan, will always be a big fan. they may not be superior to other bands in terms of musicality but they changed an entire generation of music and spawned a thousand "grunge" copycats.

Smashing Pumpkins is a very close second though i wouldn't consider them as a grunge band. Superb songwriting and musicality pero di ko na nasakyan yung half ng ADORE album at yung mga sumunod pa dun.

STP is a bad-a** band. Great songs, they sound great live. My favorite album is CORE.

Pearl Jam is great too. Favorite album. VS.
